Let the level be set at midpoint and for a start put the fridge off for thsystem to come to normal , the compressor to reset. Now draina nd clean all the cooling coils inside the freezer unit. Look for visible wearing off wires or connection in the temperature sensors. Check lines to the timer, heater and the thermostat. remove panels to check . now clean the compressor contactor and aster all the panels are put back, restart the fridge. If the cooling returns then you willhave to wait and watch if the timer works to auto deffrost. if not replace. If the cooling is still bad then you must check for hte weeakness of the compressor, low pressure of gas. service and refill gas but I would recommend with a good help. Get extimate before you start he work and ask for time warranty for the work. Hope you work this out. Good day

My ice cream maker spins but not making icecream

* Ice cream makers are small tub partial filled with cream, sugar, and flavor.
* This cream tub is placed inside a larger bucket containing ice and salt (usually rock salt). The salt makes the melted water almost as cold as the ice. (colder than regular unsalted water)
* Creme in contact with the metal tub gets frozen and creates a layer of frozen creme around the tub.
* The frozen creme is soft due to the fat in the creme preventing the liquid from freezing hard.
* Scraping away the semi frozen cream allows more liquid cream to freeze on the cleaned sides of the inner tub.
* with continuous scraping the cream will form a semi frozen "Milkshake" like thick liquid. It will not harden as the large ice bucket would have melted all the ice by then.
* Remove the semi-frozen cream. Serve immediately or pack in container to continue freezing cream. It should harden when left over nite in freezer.

Frigidaire Gallery Warm Refrigerator Cold Freezer

Generally the thermostat that turns on and off the compressor is in the freezer and so is the coils. The control knob that is in the refrigerator section is just to adjust the air flow between the two sections. If the air flow is blocked you don't get cooling in the refrigerator section. This could be a bad fan motor not creating circulation, ice blockage because the defrost cycle is not melting away ice accumulation. If it's defrost problems it could be timer, defrost thermostat, or heater element.

No ice/whole unit not cold enough

Yes, it is possibly some freon was lost but I doubt it. It is very possible a fan froze when it was moved. I would assume when the fan motor got cold the lubrication got stiff and will not let it start again. You should also check the condenser fan first and be sure the coils are clean. If that is all clean and working, check the fans in the refrigerator and freezer. The freon thing would be the last thing to check and you will probably need a person licensed to make that check.

Sorbet not freezing

If it is not freezing, I would suspect you didnt use enough salt. Salt melts the ice and makes the water colder. You need lots of ice, the finer crushed the better, and salt. Do not bleed off the cold water, that is where the action is.

Hope this helps.

Not cooling but everything seems to be on

remove back panel inside freezer and evaporator pipework will be exposed.
if this is heavily iced up, airflow will be impeded and hence rise in temperature
disconnect from mains and melt ice off carefully with a hairdryer then switch back on
you probably have a fault with the defrost system if this is the case - get back to me

Maytag Refrigerator

You don't have enough cold air circulating over into the refrigerator section. This is usually controlled by an adjustable "flap" or door which is hooked to a conrol knob. When you rotate the knob you change the size of the opening which controls the air flow to the refrigerator secton. Also you may may have something blocking this air flow -- --- - like a wrapper from an ice cream bar, etc. Try to find the opening between the freezer and refrigerator sections and look for an obstruction.
