How to retrieve password from wireless access point router zyxel -570u

Initial Set-Up
Plug your wireless router into the cable connection in your wall. Plug the connection cord into the "WAN" port on the router. Plug the router's power source into the wall and turn the router on. Connect your wireless access point to your router by pushing one end of an Ethernet cord into the WAP. Push the other end of the Ethernet cord into the "LAN" port on the router. The WAP connects your wireless devices to your router.
Connect your laptop or computer to the WAP. Click the "Start" button on your computer and then click "Control Panel." Click "Network and Internet" and then select "Network and Sharing Center." The "Network and Sharing Center" window opens.
Click "Set up a wireless router or access point." Click the "Next" button.
Follow the prompts to create a wireless pass phrase or security key. Write the key down in a safe location to ensure access later, if required.

The Canon is trying to connect to a wireless router or wireless access point which is connected to your computer network. Your Sprint 3g device is a wireless broadband device for Internet connection and cannot connect to the Canon using this device.
You need a wireless card that connects to the wireless router or wireless access point.
Otherwise you can connect to your printer using a printer cable.

How do i set bridge mode?

Depends if you need a wireless or wired bridge?

Here is some info for you.

Infrastructure Mode

With a wireless Access Point, you can operate the wireless LAN in the infrastructure mode. This
mode provides wireless connectivity to multiple wireless network devices within a fixed range or
area of coverage, interacting with wireless nodes via an antenna.

In the infrastructure mode, the wireless access point converts airwave data into wired Ethernet
data, acting as a bridge between the wired LAN and wireless clients. Connecting multiple Access
Points via a wired Ethernet backbone can further extend the wireless network coverage. As a
mobile computing device moves out of the range of one access point, it moves into the range of
another. As a result, wireless clients can freely roam from one Access Point domain to another and
still maintain seamless network connection.

Had to reinstall Intel wireless LAN 'PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter'. Now it can see our home network, but nothing happens when I click on 'connect'. I am using a different comptuer as the one...

Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access. The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.

To Configure the Router with Internet Access

Connect to one of the wireless router/access point's LAN Ethernet ports, turn off its DHCP server, and give the wireless router a static IP on your LAN:

  1. Connect a PC directly to a LAN port on the wireless router with an Ethernet cable.
  2. Power on the wireless router/access point.
  3. Reboot the PC.
  4. Log in to the wireless router though a browser. (Usually 192.168.1.1, with User Name = admin and Password = password, unless you changed them from the defaults).
  5. Go to the LAN IP menu and disable the wireless access point's DHCP server by unchecking Use router as DHCP server.
  6. Select LAN IP, and change the IP to 192.168.1.99.
  7. Click Apply to save the settings. You will lose the connection to the wireless router/access point , since its IP changed.
  8. Log in to the wireless router/access point with the URL: http://192.168.1.99
  9. Connect one of the wireless router's Local (LAN) ports to your existing network

Need basic step-by-step instructions on how to install my router.

  5. Go to the LAN IP menu and disable the wireless access point’s DHCP server by unchecking Use router as DHCP server.
  6. Select LAN IP, and change the IP to 192.168.1.99.
  7. Click Apply to save the settings. You will lose the connection to the wireless router/access point , since its IP changed.
  8. Log in to the wireless router/access point with the URL: http://192.168.1.99
  9. Connect one of the wireless router's Local (LAN) ports to your existing network.
This completes the wireless router/access point configuration.
  • You can now log in to the wireless router/access point at its new address of http://192.168.1.99 and configure wireless features such as WEP and Access Control List
  • UPnP, DMZ, Port Forwarding, and Port Triggering are not used on the wireless router/access point, and it doesn't matter how they are configured.
  1. Configure the LAN IP address to be within the same subnet as your PCs.
    • Take care not to use an IP address already being used.
    • Limit the number of addresses in the DHCP range and assign an IP address outside of the range to the router you want to use as the Access Point.
  2. Disable DHCP on the wireless router/access point.
  3. Connect one of the LAN ports on the wireless router/access point to a LAN port on the Router.
  4. Configure the SSID and any security settings on the wireless PCs to match the wireless router/access point's SSID and security settings.
a. SSIDs must be the same on all wireless devices. (These are case-sensitive: netGEAR is not the same as NETGEAR.)
b. Tip: Make sure the wireless PCs can connect before configuring WEP, WPA-PSK, or other wireless encryption.

Can I use a D-Link DI 634M as an access point?

Sure you can! As you can with any wireless router pretty much.

1. Assign the new router (AP) to an IP on your subnet that's not your existing router's IP... i.e. 192.168.0.2
2. Disable the DHCP server on the "AP"
3. Create a new wireless network on the "AP"
4. Plug your existing network/router into a LAN port

DO NOT USE THE WAN PORT

Voila! You have an access point!

Wireless router connection problems

Assuming "cannot connect to linksys router directly" means you cannot connect to a Wireless Lan managed by Linksys router,
1) try to connect new computer to LinkSys Router using a Lan cable, add new PC to your network.
2) recover protocol (WEP or WPA) and Key of WLAN (Passphrase or Key: TKIP or AES) either from other PC on same network either from your Router.
3) If you missed actual key you must connect to router and reset it to a new key to be eventually used for every connected device.
Call for detail on this possibility

I have forgotten my password for my wireless internet connection.

Connect to Wireless router using LAN cable.
Open Router admin page using the gateway address you get from your network status window from Systray (Support tab in XP).
Follow router instruction to set new WLAN protocol and Password (WPA-PSK for better protection) and use new passphrase (or Key) to set PC client network card protocol.
If Router is Password protected and you missed it: reset to factory settings to reconfigure.
