Try updating the wireless card in the computer. Then try to update the firmware of the router. Last try to connect to it with the computer right on top of the router. You might be to far away from the router.

tat dlink device is a good device i shld techinically still produce signals
but wat happened to antena if it is broken u might as well go for new router
as far i remember u wont get antena seperatly
on ur mac book scan for signal see if u are pick up signal
if yes you are lucky it shld still transmit else go for a new router
