Check to see if you are getting 12vdc feeding the T-CON board. the gray glowing means the backlight is working.

I have a Westinghouse SK-26H240S LCD TV. It is about 3 years old. I never had a problem with it until a few days ago. It turns on but I get no picture or sound. The screen sometimes has some horizontal...

This is definitely a problem with the LCD controller of the tv or the LCD panel itself. However if I were you I would hope that its just the controller(which costs about 50$) and go ahead with the replacement to see if that resolves the problem

Westinghouse SK-26H520S turns on but wont go past start-up screen

Hello, two things, one if the unit gets stuck there meaning that the W stays there and it shows that on the screen thank your main board is stuck on the boot mode and you will need to replace. The second is if the W goes away than you need to see if you can plug something in and change the input mode (even if you can't see anything on the screen) so that you can see if there is any sound coming in to the unit. If this is the case than you are looking at dead inverter board. If you would like to further troubleshoot than please email me at [email protected] for further assistance. If this information was useful please rate me on this webpage.

Westinghouse SK26H240S - Sound works but no picture?

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

White Westinghouse flat screenTV freezes up and hums.

Sometimes if you just press on your overscan button on the remote and make the picture a little bigger or smaller the humming noise and freezing of the picture will actually stop.
