It sounds like the laptop is fine and the problem is with the router. You may need to "reset" the router by pressing the very small pin hole button for a few seconds. Be Aware that any special settings you have entered in the router will be reset when you do this...it should take it back to original settings.
If resetting it a few times does not make a difference you may have a bad router. I would try it with another computer to be sure, but strange behavior after a few resets points to a bad router.

i had it repaired the de jack was bad and the power cord, also i had the key board replace, because i brokee the clip that hole's the plug for the key baord, and i have another computer running off the router.
