dont know how old monitor is but it may be time for an upgrade OR the pc/laptop/desktop? may need some setting changes for your wake time, sleep time, intervals, etc.? Sometimes if laptop,, you have to tap the power button to wake up after extended sleep times.

First you need to check the cable at both ends, inside and out. Make sure it is plugged in, to the proper connector and that there aren't any bents pins. Now put this monitor on another computer, a laptop will do. Does it come on now? If so then your video card in your machine is bad. If still bad then the monitor has lost it's signal input. This will have to be repaired by a pro. I repair these all the time and it's not as expensive as you might think.

Sounds like your menu button on the monitor is stuck in the pushed in position. See if that is the problem and use a needle, q-tip with alcohol to pop it back out.

Which model 900w or LE1936 ?
This info is usually on a sticker to the side of the stand.
If the 900w: You problem is probably that the capacitors on the power board have gone bad and need replacing. May also have transistor problems.
You would have to open it up to get a better idea.
I can probably tell from a picture.
If it is the LE1936: then it could be a similar capacitor problem, but it is rarer on this model than the 900w
Also on this model, there is a voltage regulator on the vga-dvi board that tends to go bad.
