Jbl mb3319 siruis ready stereo wont play

Have a jbl mb3319 siruis ready stereo in pontoon boat with polk subwoofer and speakers. removed battery over winter time. went to start it up, the stereo and amp have power, but speakers are not working, won't play ipod or radio station. can tell the amp is getting power but the sub woofer wont come on. last season when turned on, the speakers would make a "pop" sound so we could tell it was on. wondering if there is there a reset button somewhere? Misplaced owners manual :( thanks in advance for any help!

A Subwoofer is very simple piece of electronics. Check all of your connections and your receiver's surround modes. You shouldn't need the manual to do a preliminary check on this. There might also be a problem with the subwoofer output on the receiver. Also use a tester to see if there is current on the wires coming out from the receiver. Try it with just one sub-woofer at a time and see what happens. You may not have the power to run them all or you may have a short on one. Also check the condition of the speakers themselves. Rats can eat into the speakers themselves and like to chew away at the wires. Weather exposure can also dry and crack the rubber in the speakers.

all the connections look fine, it appears to be some sort of output issue that we can't resolve. The turner and amp have power, yet they are not sending any sound to the speakers. There doesn't appear to be any damage to the speakers or wires. The speakers themselves are enclosed, there is no visible sign of any animal entry on the boat. there is a subwoofer control knob, and the light is not on to indicate the sub is on.

If you have a fuse for the sub-woofers check it, if they are powered off the Amp you will need to test that since you said the amp is working. If it uses an 8 pin or 4 pin power connector you may want to make sure that the pins aren't bent. It sounds like you've narrowed it down to a power issue, there aren't a lot of places the failure could be occurring.

I cant get a connection with the IPhone and the JBL Wireless Stereo Speaker

Normally the speakers need an amplifier that has a specific wireless signal. Unless that signal is Bluetooth you are out of luck. You can play the iphone thru the amplifer with a cord as an auxilliary input.

Order a Re-Cone kit from Polk, or have a local company re-cone it. It can be a little tricky if you haven't done a recone before.

Sounds like you have a lot of equipment on your boat, cool. But you need to think about the load you are putting on the battery. If you don't have a way to charge the battery back up, you just keep getting the power lower and lower the more you play. Also, with that much draw, it probably doesn't take long before you experience this. Unless your engine is internal and has an alternator to it to recharge the electrical system. This will keep happening. A couple of choices you can make. Either downgrade your system to something that has less draw (definitely ditch the 1000w amp and sub), or you can put more batteries in your boat. Kinetik makes great audio batteries, but regardless of how many you put in your boat, there has to be a way to recharge them. You will probably need to recharge the battery after every use. Hope this helps

Polk rti6 tweers blown...4 speakers.....can these tweeters be repaired

It may be possible to have the tweeters repaired by Polk however if you have the skills your least expensive route would be to replace the tweeters and install them your self. I would recommend using the internet to find replacement tweeters either through Polk or possibly Ebay, or Amazon. Each tweeter has 2 wires that must be removed before uninstalling. Note the polarity and where they connect. red is + POSITIVE , BLACK IS - NEGATIVE

The tweeter and upper mid-range speaker quit working in one of my JBL s412p speakers. All wires are connected. Would this be a cross-over assembly problem? If so, where can I purchase a replacement?

Remove the speaker wire from your amplifier. Using a 1.5v battery place the wire on both ends of the battery. Observe if you can hear a cracking sound on the tweeter and the mid-range. If there is no sound., your speaker is busted and needs to be rewind or replaced.

My jbl stereo wont turn on. when i turn my truck on it just lights up and then goes straight back off

Hi there Willieulin.
I wonder if the speakerwires are shorting the amp in the JBL stereo!
One or more speakers could be blown......
The protection circuit is most likely doing its job, protecting your stereosystem from damage.
If you have a extra amp connected to the stereo, check if it is wired right.
Try to turn the ignition key "only" so the lights on the stereo turn on. If you turn it further so you start the engine it most likely turns the stereo off.
If that happens the powerwires to the stereo are wrongly connected.
Luck with the problem.
Iceman.
