My Kenmore Upright Freezer Model 25326432100 flashed "ER."

During a recent storm, the electricity went off at my house for about 3 seconds. When it came back on, my Kenmore Upright Freezer looked like it was running (with the orange light being on), but the inside control panel was flashing "ER." The freezer stopped cooling and the meat began to thaw. We unplugged the freezer and plugged it in again and then the control panel reset and it started freezing again. It's great that it is now working, but what happens if the power goes off again when I'm on vacation? Unless you open the door and check it looks like it's cooling but it isn't. This is the second time this has happened. Is this normal for the control panel?

My freezer was purchased in February, 2004. It is a self defrosting freezer but ice has started forming along the bottom shelf and back wall. Also, after cleaning the freezer the other day it has stopped clycing. The freezer will stop running only if I turn it down to the #1 setting and then it will not come back on. If I turn it up to a higher setting the compressor will not stop running. It ran for over 24 hours and would not cycle unless I turned it off or set it at the #1 setting. When I unplugged it and pulled it away from the wall, there was a green water spot the size of a dinner plate underneath the freezer. Help!! Very Unhappy this freezer is only 6 years old. S in Phila.

Looking for condenser sears freezer Model 25326432100

If you can't see a radiator looking grille, the condenser is in the skin of the freezer. Does the outside get hot? Does the pipework come out of the compressor into the outside skin of the freezer?

Is there any way to disable the alarmon my freezer.? every time the elec blinks the alarm goes off.. so i wind up standing at the freezer thru out a storm

Lets take a look at the schematicthemobilian_55.gifFrom what I see on the schematic of this late model kenmore freezer it is possible to snip a wire and tape it off to the alarm circuit.

We lost power due to storm since restored and now the compressor starts but stops within 30 seconds and does this over and over

It sound like your compressor is in trouble, I would try and see what amp. the compressor is running in this 30 seconds. If it is over the name plate requirement I would try to change a 3 in 1 electrical component to see wheather it helps. Check your amp. at all time.Hope this help.God Bless
