My hp pavilion a305w shuts itself off unexpectedly...

My hp pavilion a305w shuts itsel*** unexpectedly. it happened once and a while earlier but is happenning often now. when it does it I can still hear the power supply but the light on the on button goes off (it is usually always on). I tend to believe it is heat related but the cpu fan is always on so I do not know what else to check. I have avg updated every week and it runs every night and I do not think the problem is a virus . i have to press the button for a while until it turns completely off (no noise) and then I press it again to restart it. I have Windows xp and it always reboots and works ok.

Please take a moment to open your computer and review for dust and junk with in the system, also please ensure that all fans are running.

You may be a victim of spyware/maleware infections. You will need to have your system cleaned. This should help resolve your issue.

I would recommend trying CCleaner first to see if this helps you. Please keep in mind this will not rid your system of everything just keep you a float and offer you a fighting chance.

Please keep me posted and updated on your issue. I am here for you and will see your issues out till resolved.

Have a great and wonderful day :)

Thank You

Was just wondering because i tried one method but didn't work for me on my hp pavilion a305w, but my question is, can hp pavilion a305w boot from usbs?

unfortunately the hp pavillion a305w bios would have to support it. you would have to go into the bios on set uo and select that boot option. but unfortunately they do not have the option to boot from usb

Why does my computer shut off by itself? it is a hp pavilion a305 pc desktop. we tried cleaning all the dust out but it didn't help

HP skimps on powers supplies which causes them to run at near-capacity and eventually fail. That case should accept a standard ATX supply but if buying on eBay (suggested-lots cheaper) check with seller for compatibility. Do NOT replace the old supply with the same power rating; choose one with 50% or greater capacity; i.e. replace 250W with 350-400W. It won't cost hardly any premium or use more power, just run under less stress.

Hp pavilion won't start up

Unless you are familiar with computer hardware you should take your PC to a technician. I think your processor is probly getting too hot. Your computer will shut. itself off if the processor over heats. Try opening up your case and blowing out all the dust you can with air duster. You may need to replace your processor, video card, ram or motherboard. All of those can cause the problem you are having

Hp a305w Pavilion No Mouse or Keyboard at first bootup

i would reset your keyboard and mouse settings to default then shut down pc.. unplug components and wait for 3o secs and then try again.. if the problem persists, you may just have some loose connections especially if your pc is older..make sure there is enough slack for your mouse and keyboard wire to move around.. i know sometimes we can ruin them if we have then stretched to far out.. hope this helps.. d
