ERROR C-3101 Hi Do you know how we can fix this machine - have tried switching it off and even left if off for 1/2 hour. The malfunction error screen will not go away. Please help!! Vikki

    this doesn't work, we do not see a little black dot in the left middle side of your screen. Please help!

    I have the same problem. I've opened the front cover, and cleared all jams. There is no "dot", for me to go into another screen. My suspicion is that, either the sensor to the fuser is bad, or the fuser itself is bad. Is that a possibility?

Try this:
Swith off the copier (with the switch inside the copier)
push the button (utiliy/counter and stay pushed while you switch on the copier (general and second on/off button).
Check the screen while you stay pushing the utility/counter button, and you'll see the black dot .... just wait, a new screen will appera, with the mention 'trouble reset". push it , and the restart the copier with the general on/off button. BUT, if the fixing unit is out of order, the error code will aappear one more time, unless you'll change the unit ...

This is a fusing pressure roller code.....

The way to clear the code is by opening/closing the front door.

    This is the way to clear the code in the service manuel....so it is appropriate....If you can not clear the error code is that you have a problem in your fusing section....maybe a bad sensor, a little bit of paper that stuck in it.... ! When you open and close the front door, check if you do not see a little black dot in the left middle side of your screen....if you do, press it and a new window will appear and let you choose front different thing....press reset error code....let me know !

The E 602- 003 is due to hard disk system error but you can scan it ;run check disk its can fix that problem. try this, hold on 1 and 9 (from the machine key board) then switch on the copier; then wait around 1 hour all screen will be white then the copier will display download mode. then switch off and put on the copier.

E 5 keeps flashing. I know the ink cartridges are empty but I only want to use the scanner not do any printing. I have tried power off and reset and the suggested fix of holding both buttons together. Nil...
Error E2.5 refers to the asf (assemply sheet feeder) in otherwords its the feeder that pulls in the paper that is malfunctioning. The whole machine needs to be stripped before you can even think about the problem. For a trained canon engineer (Me) it takes 1 to 2 hours to strip and usually the sheet feeder needs to be replaced. Probably with the costs involved it just is not worth it. Take a tip from me, Buy a new machine!! but before you do just make sure nothing has fallen into the machine and caused it to jam..

1. Check if pressure hose is fixed correctly.
2. Check if the air trap is not blocked.
3. Check if the hose is not blocked

If it still not works then it is a problem with the water level pressure switch operation. There could be a blockage in the air dome or pressure switch hose. The air dome is located on the back of the tub on the left hand side. If the pressure switch hose and the air dome are clear of any blockages, then there is an issue with the water level pressure switch. I have a malfunction code on C350 which reads C-0400
this error code means the exposure lamp has failed and will have to be replaced. you can try to reset the error code but if it comes back the lamp will have to be replaced.
to reset the error:
1.open the front door with the machine left on
2. locate a small square hole inside the front door towards the bottom right.
3.insert a small object such as a small ball point pen to actuate a error reset switch the screen will indicate the front door is open when the switch is actuated.
