Pulled the wires off of just the Power On switch? http://www.directron.com/atxswitch.html

(Goes inside the Power On button)

Or did you pull ALL the wires off of the Front Panel? (Also known as Front Bezel)

The eMachines W2686 uses a NexGen computer case.

Is this NexGen Front Bezel like yours?

Touch pad doesn't work

Your touch pad is connected to your board with a ribbon wire, it has probably come loose. Unplug the unit and remove the face plate. Pull it back and you will see the wire, it looks like a ribbon, push it in tight, replace the face plate and it should work properly. I see this happen all the time.

Hi my problem is with the dvd tray it does not open . it make a funny noise but it does not open thx

OK I fixed it. One of the CD's had gotten stuck between trays in the loader. I pulled out a few CD's by forcing open the trays gently. However even after removing as many cd's as possible one was still stuck. 1. Remove screws holding cover plate on in back and sides. 2. Remove cover. 3. Lift face plate latches and lift over top of unit. Remove serial cables from connectors on board. Take face plate and place aside. Remove screws from back of CD tray unit and bend back metal tab with flathead screwdriver. Lift CD unit up on one side so you can get your fingers up inside underneath and push stuck cd towards tray openings. You can gently force top few trays out. You may need to shake unit so that stuck cd reaches open end. Pull out CD. 4. Replace faceplate and connect serial cables. Plug in power cord, power on unit and make sure trays will eject normally. 5. Put it all back together!

We have a dymo labewriter that has a label jammed in the roller. Part of the sticky part is stuck on the roller. Cannot be pulled through. What to do?

LabelWriter Label Jam
  1. Unplug your LabelWriter.
  2. Remove the spool and labels.
  3. Remove the face plate.
    • Note: The face plate is the piece with the DYMO name/logo.
  4. Using the paper release lever on the left side of the printer, move the print head away from the feed mechanism.
  5. Straighten out a paper clip and GENTLY cut away at the label caught in the printer.
  6. Using caution, begin removing the label.
    • Note: We recommend using tweezers to remove the jammed label.
  7. Reinsert the face plate back on the LabelWriter. If you need assistance reinserting the face plate:

Just installed an XDM7615 Dual stereo and the face plate won't detach. Can anyone help? The manual says there is a button behind the face when it's in the 'eject' position but pushing this button does...

There are 2 very small screws on the back of the face plate that need to be removed. Once these are removed, you may then remove the face plate.

Replaced my battery noew my pioneer cd player won't work is there a reset button?

pull your face plate completely off, look for a small indented hole that you can fit the tip of a pen in. note(its not on the back of the face plate) on the actual head unit. make sure while doing this that your vehicle is started or at least in acc position

A dvd is stuck in my Chrysler town and country multi disk dvd/ cd player. How do I remove it?

Look around the face plate for a very small hole...use a straightened paperclip or equivalent and press in a few inches...its a manuel door release and you should gain access to at least the loading tray.

Face plate buttons wont work

This is actually a common problem with more than just that radio. Sometimes the pins on the back of the face plate need to be cleaned. Take the face plate off, take a Q-tip and dip it lightly in some rubbing alcohol. Then use that to clean the metal pins on the back of the face plate. Make sure it is completely dry before you place the face plate back on. If this does not work, your better off replacing the whole thing.
