Yes, you can definately configure your WNDR3300 to work with Telestra gateway modem. Perform the below steps to reconfigure your WNDR3300 with your Telestra gateway:

CONNECTIONS:

1. Connect a Ethernet cable from the modem to the WAN port of the router (isolated port).
2. Connect the computer to the router using any one of the 4 available ports. Please make sure that there is no direct connection between the modem and the computer (either using Ethernet cable or USB cable).
3. Power off the modem and the router after making the connections.
4. Power on the modem and wait for the lights, then power on the router.

RECONFIGURE:

1. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari).
2. Access the router, usually with http://192.168.1.1 or http://www.routerlogin.com.
3. Login to the router with the Username as "admin" and Password as "password" (please note that the Username and Password are case sensitive).
4. Click on 'Basic settings' from the left menu and select 'Use Computers MAC Address' from 'router MAC Address' section.
5. Click Apply.
6. Once it updates the settings then power off the modem and the router. Power on the modem and wait for the lights, then power on the router.

Hope this allows you to resolve the issue.

Regards

Anand

How to setup netgear wndr 3400 wireless router

The Netgear WNDR 3400 wireless router configuration process is quite easy. Before you start installing and setting up the router, you should first check the packaging contents. Also, try to become familiar with the router's front and back panels, the LEDs and the necessary details on the router label. If you still experience any problem during the setup process, you can contact the technicians. More information, visit -Netgear Customer Service Technical Support Number USA 2017

You can reset the Netgear back to the factory defaults and configure the wireless settings etc.
Power up the Netgear and press the RESET button on the back of the router until the LEDs light up (approx. 10secs)
Connect a LAN cable from the computer to the Netgear open a browser and enter the router's configuration URL http://192.168.0.1

I recently bought a Netgear WNDR 3300 and when I try to set it up, using their CD, it says it is not compatible with my Sony Vaio 64 bit laptop.

Do know if this will help but seems a common problem with this hardware, try this address

Wndr 3300 net gear router wont work with hn 9000 hughes net modem

I went to the Hughes web site to check out the modem. They say it is also a router. I think you will have to disable the router abilities of your WNDR 3300 Net Gear Router.

Get into the Netgear setup by loging on to it.In its WAN setup select Static IP Address and set the Static IP Address to the same as the hughes modem, except for the last number which should be about 50 greater. IE: Hughes 192.168.12.1 and Netgear 192.168.12.55.

In the DHCP setup, disable the DHCP Server

In the Wireless setup, Give your network a name is SSID. You should also set up security to keep others off you internet connection with a WEP key.

I hope this helps.
