My mp3 player has files I cannot play or remove. An error message says that they are corrupted & unreadable, but I cannot delete them

  • Anonymous Mar 20, 2010

I tried this solution, my computer tried to fix the mp3 player for about 2 hours then gave me a error window saying that it could not complete the task.
Any more ideas, it looks like am ipod nano, it is 16GB, and it only has 2.43GB of music on it, no pictures, no video, or anything else. But some of the music files are corruped, and I can't delete them or anything. The computer recognizes it as a "USB 2.0 (HS)Flash disk USB device. If that helps. It has no name on it anywhere execept on the back it says //mp3//mp4 and a hologram sticker on the end that says QCB and JD. That's all I know.

What is the make and model number of the mp3 player? Assuming you are using Windows, If you can view the disk in My Computer, right click on the drive, select properties, tools tab, in the error checking option select check now.

SOURCE: where does a deleted file go? any chance for recovery?

You are going to have to start again, first connect the unit to your computer copy anything you want to save piccys movies and stuff but not the corrupted music files, Format the drive, then goto http://www.nodevice.com/driver/_PVR-H140/get33981.html download the driver files and re-install to the PVR, then copy all your mp3 files back.........

Error

Can you play at least one music from your mp3 player? If yes, the file that you're trying to play when this message appears may be corrupted. Try having another copy of the music that you want to play on your mp3 player. If you can't play any music that you transferred, possible causes could be :

1. Your mp3 player was reformatted to another file system that is unrecognized by the mp3 player.

2. The flash memory of your mp3 player was bad
3. The songs that you're trying to transfer is not known by the player ( file types other than .mp3)

Anko directory error when plugging into my computer

Microsoft error management for error 47 says

When the "safely remove hardware" icon is in the status bar (the by time) disconnet the mp3 player. After a few seconds connect it again. Then reboot the computer system. You will then be able to see the contents of the mp3 payer.

I tried and it works. Also it means the player could be removed without clicking on"safely remove hardware".

Message says player error - music is not available?

Your VX8300 can only play .wma files .. so if there's any .mp3 on there it's going to say that. Also, if you recently put on new files try taking them off then trying the card again .. .if that works then one of your new files are corrupt/unreadable

Another thing to try: goto: Get it now .. music n tones....my music ...songs ...options...reinitialize library database. ( Be warned, you may lose some files this way so make sure everything is backed up on your PC)
