There is a line inside the water compartment, look for the rectangles that go from the bottom up in the walls, there is a line above them... that is the level for gas stoves, for electric ones just put a little more.

3/4 cup works fine for me. Why they include a measuring cup, rather than just telling you how much to put in, is beyond me.

How much liquid in the liquid measure?

2 EGGS PLUS WATER = 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons (not all recipes in the manual
use eggs, but all do use 2 teaspoons of oil which would be included as part of
the liquid. For recipes using an egg or eggs, put the oil and egg(s) in the
measuring cup then add water to total 3/4 cup)

ALL WATER = 2/3
cup

ALL EGGS = 1 cup

Lost directions for using my Sisan Steamer. I have the water measure but don't know how much salt to add. Can you help?

The measuring cup holds 1/4 cup. Fill with tap water and pour one full measure into the hole exposed by removal of handle. Then measure table salt into small hollow on handle. Next, pour two (2) full measures of salt into a second measuring cup full of water, and pour into Sisan. Never use more salt than will fill the measuring hollow in handle. Remember that should the steam cease, unplug and refill with two measures of tap water, but no more salt.

Maintenance:
Add one (1) teaspoon white vinegar to two measures of tap water, put it in the Sisan Steamer and let it run a few minutes. Then pour this out of the Steamer and rinse well to scale the inside.

Lost manual; what is ratio of rice to water? thanks!

All right, this can be a bit confusing. IF you still have the cup that came with your Rice Cooker, use it to measure your rice. Then, inside the cooker there are lines showing how much water to add based on how many of the Zojirushi measuring cups you used of rice. THAT's simple.
IF you DON'T still have your Rice Maker measuring cup you will have to use a 3/4 cup U.S measuring cup. This equals the same amount as the rice cooker cup. For each 3/4 cup of rice you use, add that many cups of water. If you use 3/4 cups of rice twice, then add water to the 2 line.
In other words, a rice cooker measuring cup equals 3/4 cup of regular U.S measuring cups.
Hope I didn't confuse this too much. I hope this helps and if it does, please let Fixya know by rating my solution. Good luck and happy cooking!

I lost the measuring cup. Can I use a regular measuring cup? If so, what amount would I use? For 1 cup, 2 cups,or 3 cups? I'm sure there is a solution. Thanks.

1 cup of rice in the rival cup does NOT equal 1 cup of rice in a regular measuring cup. I lost mine too and I've found that using 3/4 cup of a regular measuring cup works with the lines on the inside of the pot

Lost my instruction book...want instructions to make rice in cooker...ratio of rice and water please

I have a Toastmaster 3 cup rice cooker but think the ratio would be the same.
Long grain white rice - 2 rice measuring cups - water to 2 cup line = 8 (1/2 cup) servings
3 rice measuring cups - water to 3 cup line = 12 (1/2 cup) servings

Long grain brown rice - 1 1/2 Rice measuring cups - water to 3 cup line - 6 (1/2 cup) servings

For fluffy rice: After cooker shuts off, allow rice to stand for approx. 15 minutes, covered, before serving.

Hope this helps

No manual or instructions

I know the exact model you are talking about! I have one myself....Basically it is always two parts water to one part rice using the same measuring cup to measure both! So if you decided to use it for 6 cups total it would be 4 cups of water and 2 cups rice.....As for veges, You would fill the bottom of the inside pot just enough to where it doesnt touch the other pot that goes inside with holes to hold the veges and you can add a little salt, But then you close the lid and press the cook button and when it finishes it makes a quick and easy dinner side!
