The instructions for setting up will be with the remote. There isn't much online, but I found this on a previous Fixya post. It is not a well known remote and no one buys universal remotes any more, you but a facsimile remote, a copy of the one that came with the television.
Although it is not a Genuine/Original remote, it is also not a Universal. It is a fully functioning replacement specifically manufactured for the FUTRONIC 5Z59.

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the site linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device, in its search box. It will help you to find the document easily.

Zoom in on the picture of the original remote provided on the site (or look at your own) and get the actual remote model number.
or check eBay: search for "(model of the device or the remote) remotes", check the 'include description' box. Usually cheaper than the vendors.

The switching problem: If you mean you wish to change digital input assignment there is no way to do that without the remote. You COULD view the matrix on page 19 of the manual and possibly move your optical device to the default "optical 3" if it hasn't changed. Then you could select "CDR/TAPE3" to hear that attached device.
These are the steps on how to program your GE Universal Remote Control without the list of codes.
1. Manually turn on the device to be controlled.
2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
3. Press and quickly release the desired device button. The red indicator blinks off once.
4. Press the ON•OFF button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled turns off. The red indicator blinks off with each button press.
Note: Code Search starts from the currently stored four digit number under that mode. Sometimes the first code that “works” with your device may only allow limited functionality (e.g. the MENU button might not work). There may be a code that performs more functions. Continue the code search process until the best code is found.
Hello, There could be a few reasons as to why your remote control no longer functions properly. The following is a common list of problems that could help you determine what the problem may be.
1. The batteries need to be replaced. The battery contacts could also be dirty.
2. The remote control signal transmitter could have been damaged by dropping it or simply have gone out.
3. The receiving sensor could have malfunctioned on the device you are try to use the remote on.
4. If you have a universal remote control, it could have lost the code that operates the device from it's memory.
5. The button on the remote control could have been damaged and is not making a proper connection for the function you are trying to use.
It is hard to pin point an exact problem without further information like the remote control brand, model/serial number, and a more detailed description of exactly how it worked before or how the device was working before, when it went out, was it dropped, etc.
I would suggest changing the batteries or cleaning the contacts first to see if that solves the problem. I wish you the best of luck in fixing the problem.
If you would please, rate my help. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You
If you have several audio/video devices, which is probably the case if you have this system, you might consider buying a Logitech Harmony All in One remote.
I got one as a present - it now controls all my devices intelligently and is fully programmable to switch all boxes to the correct settings for a particular activity with one button. It connects to a pc with a simple but sophisticated GUI to set up, and codes for hundreds of devices are available and automatically downloaded.
Brilliant, and my wife can now use our systems without having to ask me what to do! It even has an on screen help function.
