Go to the manufacturers site and under "support" type in your model number and you will be able to download and or print the entire owners manual. The reair manual will cost a few dollars but the operators/owners manual will be free. This is all ppproviding that they are still in business. Thank you, Dana

I have a cdr 200.

Just set it up to record again. It can only append where it left off. Or just PAUSE it while you cue up the next selection.

Finalization is only required when you are totally finished and want to make it playable on a CD player.

CD-R drawer won't open. CD

there are different reasons for stuck up disk tray

1. load belt is worn out already
2. driving gear for mechanical loading disc tray has broken teeth.
3. cd got stuck up between the loading disc tray and the plate holder.

You will need unplug your device first and then unscrew the cover of your unit and find it yourself to know what causes it not to open.

once the cover is out, the mechanical loading disc tray will be exposed.
1. remove the stuck cd
2. plug the unit and turn on, to get access the belt, wait for the disc tray to move to the pull out position, then unplug your device.
3. plug the unit and turn on, if the disc tray do not move, use your finger to move the tray and see which gear is broken.

belts are available from this site. just have to measure the correct diameter of the belt in your unit

Player side does not recognize a disk. Door opens

jncecil

If your friends unit is doing the samething then the problem my be with the disk and not the unit its self.

It is possible that there is a different type of laser in the player side that is not in the recorder side.

So my question for you is what kind of disk are you putting in the player side and have you tried a standard pressed CD to see if it works.

I need to find the correct brand of recordable

Any CD-R will play, if your player is picky about the recorded discs, make sure you record it at a very low speed. 2X is optimal but very few actual recorders support such speed, try the lowest one.
Also use high quality discs like Verbatim, the best ones have a blue background on the record side.
