Well, holding down the right bottom corner of the screen definitely resets the unit but unfortunately, that's all it did. The unit stills powers up, then powers down. This is unit fully charged, don't understand.
Yes, there is a way to reset it. You can try the reset button under the faceplate, or a Master Reset. Keep in mind, a Master Reset WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR FAVORITES. In order to do a Master Reset the unit must be off. Press and hold the bottom right of the screen, then press the on button. Keep pressing the screen until the unit asks if you are sure you want to reset. Follow the prompts. To use the reset button, you must remove the faceplate carefully (put your fingernail or another object in the indentation on the top of the faceplate, and pull it toward you). Then press the reset button on the right hand side of the unit.

Could be a problem with the memory card. Please try to remove that then power up and see if the issue is resolved. If not, it could be a problem with the internal circuitry. If this is the case, then unfortunately, there is no other go except to get the device service.

My unit is 2 years old. the problem is that i was updating the software a few months ago and while the unit was updating my computer shut off. now I can't turn on my gps unit and when i plug in the unit to charge it the battery meter on the screen dosen't appear. but the charger light is flashing. wanted to know if there was any way to reset the unit. or any other ideas? thanks
