Why is there no green light or red docking showing it is charging?

Sometimes the contacts between the battery and the iRobot get corroded...you can try using a small piece of sandpaper to lightly scuff/clean the battery contacts. Once you put it back together, try the reset function mentioned previously.

My Roomba goes round and round

Most likely one of the wheels has debris wrapped around it's axel that is not allowing it to turn.

Red light flashing very fast and not charging fully

How long is it charging until the light goes from flashing red (no charge) to yellow to finally green (full charge) ? If it's not at least 2 hours, sorry I don't have my Roomba papers available, so I'm guesstimating here, it's not getting a full charge. If you can put a voltmeter on the " fully charged" battery pack, that might tell you if the charger is the problem. Clean off the metal contacts where Roomba meets the two metal contacts on the charger. Also just because a battery pack or set is new doesn't mean it's functional. I had a new Apple battery for my laptop that didn't work when I replaced an older one.

Brushes dont turn

If you are referring to the two main brushes underneath the Roomba (not the side-sweeper) then there are a couple possibilites: 1. The gears need to be cleaned/regreased inside the brush unit. There are several videos/guides online that will show you haw to dissassemble the gears, clean out the gunk, and reassemble. Basically there are four screws that hold the unit in; once it is removed you will see several screws on the side of the unit that contain the gears for the brushes. Dirt/dust/hair makes it's way into the gear-case and gums up the works, which seizes the motor. 2. Another possibility is that the electric motor that drives the brushes needs tp be cleaned or replaced. My Roomba had lint/hair caught up in the electric motor...in fact the dirt was separating the brushes from contacting the rotor inside the motor, which means they weren't cunducting electricity. Once I cleaned out the motor itself, the brushed worked right away! There are a couple view holes on the sides of the motor...get a flashlight and look inside...there is probably lots of junk keeping the motor from working properly. Good luck!

Irobot roomba won't work

This message sometimes happens when it\'s jammed or caught. I would open it up and really clean everything out to make sure the brushes are not jammed. Also pop out the ball white/black wheel at the front and remove all the hair around the axle for this. This almost sounds like something caught in the wheels and gears. String and the like can get caught in there. The easiest thing is to find the end of the string and try to unwind it in the direction reverse to what it caught in. I tried taking the whole Roomba apart one time, it was tough, so I don\'t recommend it unless you are very mechanically minded. FYI to everyone with a Roomba, I knew someone who expected theirs to pick up random dry cat and dog poop around the house. No vacuum can do this.

Why does robot roomba 530 repeatedly stop and say to clean brushes

I think it's telling you to flip it over, open up the brush compartment, take the brushes out, remove everything wrapped around them, replace them and close it up. I suspect that your brushes are wrapped up with something. Next open up the filter compartment, dump it into the trash, pop or slide out the filter and bang it into the trash can. Give it a quick rinse in the sink to wash off the fine dust still on the filter. Let it dry and insert it back into the filter compartment.

Roomba is squealing

Sounds like it needs to be taken apart and cleaned. Turn it over on it's back. Press down and release the two buttons that hold the cover. Take out the two spinning bars, clean all hair and thread off. Check ends of the bars to remove hair there. Reinsert bars noting the one end with square has to be fitted in properly for each bar. Often at this point you'll find something too pick or heavy to make it into the filter compartment, just remove it and replace cover. Next open filter compartment, Remove filter and clean.
