Printer installation problem for Samsung V25 laptop.

System recovery is for serious disk/operating system corruption problems. There is a system recovery partition on HP laptops that contains routines to restore your laptop to the configuration it came from the factory with. Backup all your personal files to a CD or USB stick or portable hard drive before using system recovery as it will erase anything you have added to your primary hard drive since it left the factory. That can especially be a problem if you have upgraded to a newer version of Windows than what your laptop came with, as HP is somewhat 'known' for not upgrading the recovery partition if you don't have recovery CD's for the new operating system bought from HP. If your recovery partition has been erased or corrupted, you will have to either use HP recovery CD's (which may be available from HP if your laptop is new enough)
or do a format and complete installation from the proper Windows installation CD. Either way, your personal files are toast if you don't back them up first. In some cases of operating system failure, you can get an external USB drive box, put your old HDD in it and use another computer to try and read files from the disk to try and save your personal files.

When you installed the new hard drive, was it purchased from HP as the hard drive for the T1100ps, or did you install a generic hard drive like for a laptop?

HP uses a special formatting on their hard drive with its own operating system with the latest firmware already installed (not windows o/s), so just installing new firmware will not work...the plotter must be on and in a ready state to receive the firmware update.

RE BOOT while it starts repeatedly tap F-11. Or go to your Restore and Recovery program in your software.

Dell recovery will not work in a Toshiba Laptop. Just make sure the boot order is set to CD/DVD driver first that will automatically start the CD/DVD driver when disc is loaded.

You can recover data from hard drive with data recovery software.Then format the drive toget it fixed.

the recovery disk is designed to repair or restore a system to its previous factory condition and is not a full installation. the formating of your hdd would have erased all the data required for this process to be completed. you can try a recovery utility that may be able to help you at this link. the disk might not have been saved in an .iso format to tell the computer to run it before starting an OS. if this disk is recognized and runs on your system then you will need to attempt a recovery, which is unlikely since the drive has allready been formated many necessary system files may not be able to be restored. at this point a complete new install will be necessary.

well, i have had the same promblem,hate to say it but sometimes the type you bought isn't compatable with your laptop ...mite consider saleing that one and asking samsung what kind of cdrw's will work with that laptop

You can use an IDE laptop Hard Drive unit from 40 GB. to 100GB. That laptop came with a 40GB.
