Hi superdream32, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?
2007 PC mobo the CMOS coin cell battery died.
and useless now Nforce chip sets, zero support
+7 + 2014 is end of life battery,
you are 3 years over the line of battery deathh. so is first thing to fix.
old Pentium D mobo, mostly useless now
ropes:
new coin battery installed
9 steps
https://www.pcdied.com/cmos.html#Reset_only.
test the hdd,now.
if bad no OS on earth runs on bad hdd.
the manual on this PC has this huge blunder
fails to say BIOS main hot key !
it is this, power on fast actions... both (2)
disable NUMlock key
at power on and then hammer , key
reset bios there
and all setting there set correct.
windows is last. not first.

old Pentium D mobo, mostly useless now
ropes
new coin
reset bios. to defaults hot key=
set time and date bios.
set boot order
CD
USB
SATA
PATA. (nobody uses pata now 2001 up is sata.
save
exit BIOS
insert cd install disk
cold boot and quickly.
and hammer space bar easy to get CD to boot.
all those devices above pata/sata/cd
must be boot drives to boot.
the manual forgets to show hot key for bios. del, F1, Esc, IDK.

..
SOURCE: connect cd drive to biostar gf7100p-m7s
The 34 pin connector is for your floppy drive(s) .. not for your CD drive. There is no special cable for this. 2 different interfaces alltogether.
SOURCE: sound doesn't work on biostar gf7100p-m7s
it's a common problem of gf7100p-m7s series. Its depend on ur operating system. beoz many operating systems have their own audio drivers like windows vista. If u r using windows vista don't install audio drivers from ur motherboard disk. becoz i had faced this problem some months ago. if this is not hardware relative problem, u can see ur sound will work fine.

Coin cell CMOS NVRAM battery life spans
spec, at intel.com or any PC maker or the battery maker, all.
1: 3-5years, pc stored in cardboard box. less in hot attic.
2: 5-7 years, AC power present on PC.
and
below 2.9vdc is the batteries cliff of Deathh(sic),
battery data sheet explains the cliff.
cliff to EOL , doomed.
first is getting BIOS fully working
not windows ever. windows is dead last.
booting is a serial process and windoz last.
their silly manual forgot to state
bios main Hot keys, (after yes)
some are:
NUM lock disabled on keypad FIRST then
award bios splash screen prompt?
then press del key fast.
if numlock is wrong you get dot, not DEL.
and fails.
cmos clear jumper is in them manual
spec. not good
Socket 775
NVIDIA nForce 630i , Nforce is dead.
NVIDIA GeForce 7100
never use Nforce, it has zero support
Nforce chip is 2007 and is 100% EOL dead
the end of the line, doomed, etc.
no drivers now. zero
