Abit NF7-s v2- hynix ram support problem

Hi,
I've just bought new Hynix DDR RAM, 2x1GB, pc3200. The motherboard, Abit Nf7-S v2 does not recognize the RAMS, I mean the computer goes on, but the screen is still black.
What may be the problem?

Your system does not support the dual ddr ram unless you have a add-on VGA card

I have included the link to the user manual ... see chapter 1 section 1-1 Features and Specifications

Supports DDR 400 only when using an add-on VGA card (NF7-M)

Take out the ram and reseat it. Try again, if you still have the problem, take out half the ram and test it and then switch it around till you find out what ram chips are possibly bad.

Hi dont know why new RAM dont work, may be faulty. Go to www.crucialmemory.com
Let them scan your computer and they will tell you what memory slots you have and what memory you should be able to use

Did you make sure to install the memory starting from DIMM3? You should install into DIMM3 then DIMM2 according to the NF7 manual.

The problem probably is you mixing fsb speed, all the cards should
be pc3200 or all of them should be pc2700.

You don't mix.

Its about the memory card
The board supports upto 4 GB RAM. PC3200 RAM is supported.

1. Reset CMOS settings by CMOS jumper.

2. Try updating BIOS of your motherboard from :
