Hello you can download the driver here:http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P5GL-MX&p=1&s=22By selecting windows xp, and open the Audio folder, and click global for download.The audio file needs to be unziped, before you install the driver.Reboot after the install is done.Update the other drivers, if any missing.The audio file is newer present, in the xp installation file.Good luck

You're motherboard has the following audio chipset:
SoundMax ADI AD1986A. There is no specific Windwos 7 audio driver for your motherboard yet, but any Windows 7 compatible driver for the AD1986 will do.

Yeah, the page loads very slow, but whenever it's there, download & try the "ADI AD1986A Audio Driver v6.10.01.6070" driver.

Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA

the leads from your (motherboard to your hard drive) make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they might be faulty

if its a 40 pin flat ribbon type it will be the first to fail

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty

even something as small as a faulty electrical fan and its lead can cause you problems

computers need all power and data to continue through every working device and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust built up or in the socket

if you remove your graphics check the socket to make sure its dust free

restart your computer then reinstall it this should activate found new hardware wizard

if you are able to get a screen Click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers

If you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it

IE: motherboard name vga driver you might have to try a few times to get it right

Several things you can try:

• Remove the CMOS battery leave for 10 minutes and re-insert and try to reboot
• If this fails to solve the issue, check the BIOS (F2 on boot) and disable USB legacy support
• Then if that fails, try swapping out the RAM modules until you manage to get a successful boot.
• If you suceed in this, download memtest and check the integrity of the ram modules, it may be you have an intermittently faulty ram module.
• If this fails, it is likely that the USB controllers on the motherboard are damaged

It depends on the BIOS manufacturer but usually you need to enter in to the BIOS settings to change the video settings.
