to use Zyxel router/modem from two pcs for internet usage :
it has two ports
1 is USB
2nd is Rj-45 connector LAN port
connect it with one pc via USB cable
and
connect 2nd via LAN port using Cross cable
then its one DSL connection from two PCs.
i am using it and it working good.
Not really familiar with MAC but make sure you're plugging the ethernet cable into a lan port on the router and not the WAN/uplink port. Also check to see if your lan connection isn't disabled on the computer. For starters
If you haveservers on yourLAN, configurean SUA serverset to havethem visible tothe outside. From the NAT -Mode screenclick Edit Details and fillin the fields asshow do this to setup a DMZ
Yes you should! Download a manual for your router and read how you start the wireless LAN. I think you login to your router by writing 192.168.1.1 in the URL window in a web browser. Password is 1234 as default. Be sure to encrypt the AP with WPA so that your neighbours dont use your internet conection.
I wonder if your 'Active Wireless LAN' checkbox, found under 'Network > Wireless LAN > General Wireless LAN tab' is really checked. If so, and yet, your router doesn't broadcast, then I suppose its hardware is faulty.
Just my 2 cents...

To secure youe wireless router, follow these instructions : - 1. Connect the wireless router to your computer with a LAN cable. 2. Start your browser and enter the router's configuration URL 3. Enter the router setup, login and password 4. Change the admin password 5. Go to the wireless settings and change the default SSID and turn off SSID broadcast. 6. Setup encryption key the strongest is WPA2 (if not then WPA). 7. For further security measures - turn on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless cards on the computer/s you want to connect to this wireless router. 8. Record the settings you have made and keep it in a safe place and Save the settings. 9. Configure the wireless cards on the computer/s with the SSID and encryption settings of the router. 10. Remove the LAN cable between the router and the computer then the computers should be able to connect to the router.
According to my very thorough testing some weeks ago, P-660-HW-D1 port forwarding is really very broken.
The worst thing is that not only does the port forwarding work properly, it lets packets to LAN addresses where they're not supposed to go. This means you're not safe behind LAN.
Firewalled or not, AGL.6 or AGL.7 shouldn't be used at all in my opinion, they're unsafe. When in routing mode, and having several LAN machines behind one Zyxel switch port (i.e. separate switch attached), I found that the port forwarding is completely broken.
I have contacted Zyxel Finland about this issue two weeks ago, and they initially thanked for the finding and said they're passing the issue onwards and investigate it.
The best current solution is to downgrade to (also very buggy) AGL.4.
