With any new battery device, the first charge should be at least 12 hours, and when the battery is flat then it needs to be charged up for 12 hours again. This needs to be several time for the battery to reach its full charge capacity.
When the battery is fully charged the battery indicator be firm and not flashing.

My coby mp705 wont turn on but when i plug it to my computer it works.. what kind of assistance shall i do to make my coby back to normal? any kind of answer would be wonderful

sounds like the battery is the problem if it wont start wothout a power source

Check the system requirements for the MP3 player.

Most Coby players require Windows XP or higher and at least 1 GB of RAM to function correctly.

Check your Coby owner's manual to ensure that your machine meets all the required specifications before proceeding.

Charge the MP3 player fully.

Often, a player will act unexpectedly if it has a low charge.

A charge can also help reset the MP3 player if it has frozen or locked up.

Once the player has finished charging to 100%, see if the problem persists.

Re-sync your player.

Plug the MP3 player back in to the computer and then remove all the files.

If you have not done so already, make sure they are backed up to your hard drive.

Unplug your MP3 player and then re-load all of your files.

Check for corrupted and wrong format files.

Most Coby MP3 players only play back MP3 files, and will perform unexpected operations

if files of other formats are uploaded to the device.

Go through your uploaded files and check the extensions.

Anything that does not say ".mp3" or is not listed in your owner's manual needs to be deleted from the device.

hope this helps

I've had my mp3 player for almost two years and it has worked fine. recently i tried hooking it up to the computer to charge it because it said low battery but nothing happens. i continue to get a blank...

Hi

Try and reset the player by inserting a pointed object inside the small hole, press and hold for 5-10 seconds to let the player reset. If this doesn't work then connect the player with the computer and let it charge for a while. Now go to control panel-> administrative tools-> computer management/system management-> storage, check if you are able to see the mp3 player here. If it is visible then try a reset and try again. If not then reset the player while it is connected with the system. This will resolve your issue.

Hope this helps...

How do i charge my sansa mp3?

  • Step 1:Plug the appropriate end of the USB link cable that came with your SanDisk MP3 player into the MP3 player itself. The port for this cable can be found on the right side of most models of SanDisk MP3 players.
  • Step 2:Plug the other end of the USB link cable into a free USB port on your computer. This will effectively connect your SanDisk MP3 player to your computer.
  • Step 3:Turn your computer on. This will cause your SanDisk MP3 player to automatically begin drawing power from the computer and charging its battery. On the screen, an indicator light will flash yellow while the player is charging.
  • Step 4:Disconnect the cable from both your MP3 player and your computer when the device has finished charging. You will be able to tell when the charge is complete when the indicator light that previously was flashing yellow appears as solid green.

When charging, you have to leave it on, or it will look like it's charging but will not actually charge.

    Can't charge

Try resetting the device by using a pin:

    1. The rear bottom right of the device there is a small hole, insert the pin, this resets the player to its factory settings.

    Apple ipod not getting charged

What type of IPod is this? Also what type of charger are you using? If the ipod does not have a charge at all you will need to plug it into a wall charger for it to get a "Base charge" (this usually takes 5-10 minutes) as if the ipod is totally dead then there is not enough of a charge for the ipod to let your computer know it is there to start being charged. After it has the base charge you can use the usb connection to finish the charge or leave it plugged into the wall charger to finish getting the charge.

    Will not charge

    Hi,
batterys dead, these usually last for about 12-18 months.
you can probably buy a replacement, but may have to get the shop to fit.
    Due to data loss et,c.
Use it on the computer with a USB lead.
