Track snowblower won't go into high gears - Agri-Fab Agri - Fab Snow Blower - 42"

Sounds like gear on axle shaft broke shear bolt or key. Take bottom plate off base of snowblower.It is ok to tip snowblown up on front end so wheels are in air. After plate is off turn wheels and see if drive gear is moving with axle. If not key way or bolt has broken off, replace and will be back in motion.

take chute apart where it pivots
theres a square hole that is now rounded
get some hard plastic 2 part glue from auto parts store
warm it all up build up sides flat again. or buy all new parts
my way is $7 or less and yes ive done this

that means you'll get done faster, oh boy... how about a model # next time, makes it easier to help

I wonder if your cable has broken in half.

Check to be sure there is oil in the gear box! Wish I could be more help for you...

they use grease, and you need a grease gun to fill

Mine was doing the same thing and I found that if I put it in reverse for a little while it would be ok again for a short time. I found also that it did this more often when the snow was heavy and wet which makes me think that the rubber drive wheel is getting wet and slipping. If you've brought it in to a shop and they've said that nothing could be found wrong, then it must be something that goes away by the time you get it there - water (I'm guessing).

Back wheels have a gear that connects to the drive chain. on each side. those spin.
The front ones which are Idlers do not spin as the idler wheel as a bushing in it that allows free motion on the shaft without resistance. Use a nylock nut with Locktight for starters. The try that.
