You can go to sears.com and lookup the tractor part number and snow blade part number and they will show you all the brackets and attachments needed. Also the site will show all tractors that the snowblade will fit. Hope This Helps Don

I got one that came with a 1981 Murray lawn tractor but I have no clue as to how to install it hahaha.

That model number is not matching up with any model in the craftman models. Are you one number off somewhere?

sounds like you have either stretched chains or worn sprockets. Also check the outer bearing that the shafts fit into for wear. If they wear then the chain can't retain it's tension properly, get sloppy and then derail itself. Most likely your bearings is the problem.

If the chain is falling off the same side of the sprocket it as an alignment issue. May be a bad bearing somewhere causing this issue.

Try cleaning the air filter, and check fuel tank for any debris.
Replace fuel filter if there is, and give the fueltank a good cleanout.
Use fresh fuel to refill.

When you got something caught in the auger, the shear-pin probably did it s job and broke, to save the gear box. Remove the old shear pin and install a new one
