My HP PSC 1510 does not communicate with my computer at all. I've tried multiple USB cables. The printer turns on, the copier works fine but when I plug in the USB, nothing happens. I have reinstalled the software and drivers. I uninstalled everything and plugged in the USB, trying multiple ports and the computer does not respond at all. I have tried this printer on 2 different PC's and I am currently trying to use it on a Macbook. Same result with every computer. It's the printer.. I believe in the hardware. It worked fine about 3 months ago but I haven't used it in a while and now it does not work. When the software looks for the USB, it claims "No devices found." I've used all USB's with other hardware and they work just fine. Is there a rest button or something on the printer? Thanks so much! my hp psc printer does not respond to the computer every time i try to connect th eusb cable..it says gound new hardware ani a small box appears and tries to install the software but later it say that the hardware dint could not be installed as it din find any software i dint used the printer for 1 yr and now when i use it says such problem i hav tried downloading the software many times but also its not working
Whenever I have seen this problem it has usually turned out to be one of the solder points on the USB connection in the printer. Of course it could be a logic board problem as well. Well done for testing your problem so thoroughly (eg trying different cables and machines) but I think it needs a repair agent now unless it is under warranty (or you can solder well). Mind you it's probably cheaper to purchase a new one then to pay to have it repaired.

Lexmark printer will not communicate with my computer. I need help with this. Thanks
I have a Lexmark Z23 Inkjet printer that will not communicate with the computer. I have reloaded the drivers but still nothing. I even purchased a new USB cable thinking the prongs were bent but it still will not communicate with the computer. What should i try next?
