How to adjust resistance on a manual Weslo cardio/walk treadmill

I bought a Weslo cardio/walk manual treadmill at a yard sale and did not get any instructions. This is a simple machine.

I need to know how to adjust the ''tension'' on the belt. It is too hard in its current position.

Thanks

I found the solution on the Internet. Allen head bolts on each end of the frame can be turned to loosen or tighten the belt.

Adjust incline on weslo cadence g 5.9 bought it used no manual

On the rear of walking deck you have the left and right feet. Down the deck is at 0 degree incline, fold them up and you have a 3 degree incline.. You have no incline motor on this model.

Walking surface will only move very slowly. The belt seems tight enough, tried to tighten 1/4 turn, still not moving properly. Treadmill is a Weslo Cadence 450, bought a few years ago. Thanks

lift the sides of the w/belt the hieght should be 2-3 inches. if more to loose, tighten it up. still have a issue take hood off and check the motor belt. if you find a bunch of black dust. your belt is worn or on its way out.PS you can find the belt on the web.

I have a used Weslo Cadense 927 treadmill. I need to adjust the the tread, it's rubbing the side.

When you purchased the treadmill it came with an allen wrench to assemble the machine. That is the adjustment tool.
Inspect the rear plastic cap (the adjustment bolts are there) make sure it is not damaged. If the plastic is broken, it will need to be replaced. This job is not easy. If it is not broken, adjust the belt as follows..
If the belt is already rubbing, locate the adjustment screw at the back of the treadmill on the side that is rubbing.Adjust that screw tuning it 1/2 turn clockwise. Move the belt manually 3 full rotations.. If it is still rubbing, turn another 1/4 turn. Again move the belt manually 3 rotations. Once the rubbing stops, run the machine slowly and watch the belt from the back of the machine..

Lubricating a treadmill

The only lube required is between the walking belt and the deck. You can get the lube from iconfitness.com. Lift the walking belt and squirt some on the deck from each side, underneath the belt in the area where you usually walk. Walk on it for a few minutes to spread the lube around.

Walking belt slows down to almost a stop when i get on it

I believe under the motor shroud on the circuit board their should be 2 pots 1 adjusts torque 2. adjusts speed try adjusting them and see if that take care of the problem if not. worse case it might be the drive motor.

How do you adjust the belt for a Weslo Cadence 815 treadmill?

Hi, I don't have a manual on your particular treadmill but most all treadmills use the same type of belt tension and tracking, which is an allen screw adjustment on the rear tension bar. One on either side. You should have been provided an allen wrench with your treadmill, if not then use one of your own the proper size. Make the adjustment with the unit running at its slowest speed. Clockwise tightens the tension and will draw the belt. Good Luck, this should Fixya!
