CD Door will not open

the remote can use only 1 button to open and close if programmed right
open the lid of the seers control box and press the program button then use a different button on the remote to open and close
It would appear that the seers unit is also made by chamberlain

I think the adjustment mode is on.

Actually, you should just read carefully your garage door opener unit's manual.

Check the sensors in the doorway. Sounds like they may be misaligned. They need to be pointing at one another to work properly.

There are certain models that had only a door bell type wall control and didn't have the lock and light functions. You may have one of these and someone has replaced the wall control with the three button model. If it did work in the past and has quit it is most certainly the logic board and is expensive to replace.

You say it is STILL stuck in the "lock" mode. If you cannot use your remotes you need to program it. Find the smart/learn button just to the left of all those white wires. Press and hold the button on a remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Do this for each remote.

SYSTEM OPERATION

System warning lamp located on top of the instrument panel
Press UNLOCK button once , turns on interior lamps and deactivates alarm (if fitted)
Press UNLOCK button twice w/in 5 seconds unlocks all doors, turns on interior lamp and deactivates alarm (if fitted)
To activate alarm system (if fitted):
Switch ignition OFF
Open driver's door
Press Lock button on remote
Close Driver door
warning lamp will flash when system is activated
Press remote power sliding door button will open sliding door (if fitted) only if unlocked first
Pressing remote panic button:
*Sounds horn intermittently
*Flashes exterior lamps
*Turns on interior lamps
**Pressing panic for the second time OR switching ignition ON deactivates alarm.


PROGRAMMING
Remobe key from ignition switch
Remove the "BCM PRGRM" fuse, from the fuse box
Close all doors
Turn ignition switch to the ACC position
With in 1 SECOND , turn the ignition switch to OFF then back to 'ACC'
(really, with in one second)
Open and close the driver's door. A chime will sound, indicating programming mode activated
Press and HOLD LOCK and UNLOCK SIMULTANEOUSLY untill a chime sounds 2 times ( about 15 seconds)
Repeat this exact procedure for all remotes to be programmed
Remove key from ignition
Refit 'BCM PRGRM' fuse.

4 REMOTES MAXIMUM CAN BE PROGRAMMED

Try this... unplug the unit and turn it upside down.  Have a small screwdriver ready.  No plug the unit in and try to turn the wheel in the large slot clockwize.  When you see the spring clip try to grab the white plastic stop and move it clockwize.  This should eventually open the door.  It did for me.

MANY UNITS NOW HAVE A ONE BUTTON CLOSE FEATURE. THIS WILL CLOSE THE DOOR WITHOUT PRESSING THE PROPER CODE.

HOWEVER, IT WILL NOT OPEN THE DOOR WITHOUT THE PROPER CODE.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A REMOTE THAT WILL SEND A CODE AND CLOSE THE DOOR. IT MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE PROGRAMED TO OPEN THE DOOR. YOU CAN GET AN EXTERNAL UNIVERSAL RECIEVER IF CHAMBERLAIN OR LIFTMASTER ARE ON THE LIST THAT WOULD WORK.

you will now be presented with DEMO mode on the Screen

Press the + on the remote

The screen will now display Sensor Mode

Press Set

Press + twice until Sensor Off is displayed

Press Set

Unit switches off

You might remove the case and remove the disks. Uplug first.
