New player? Under warranty? Take it to whoever installed it. Sounds like a weak laser, or a laser alignment problem. Could also simply be a dirty laser lens, but proper cleaning requires disassembly (those laser cleaning discs are hit-n-miss, and I've seen them actually damage the laser pickup, so I do not recommend them).

Jesen touch screen player new will not play cds or dvds , it will scan the disk and in a moment will promptly eject the disk . is this a factory recall?

My first question is: Has it ever played CDs? If not, it try using factor CD's and NOT Burnt ones.
I also recommend taking the cover off the player and use rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab and clean the glass laser eye. They tend not to read when they are dusting.

If the player is going to work, it will after the suggestions I just made. Otherwise the laser or laser motor may be faulty.

I keep getting a bad disc reading when trying to play dvds on my jensen vm9512hd radio. Cd play geat but movie do not play new or old. i have cleaned disk.

I have the same problem. My unit has been sent in for repairs twice. Each time the DVD deck has been replaced. After this last repair it stopped playing dvds in 1 week. I know its not a solution but at least your not alone. I am asking for a replacement this time around.

Bad disk

Wow! That's a first. I used to sell both the Jensen AND Phase Linear versions and never a problem. It sounds like a bad unit. You say it plays NOTHING? No CD's OR DVD's that are the factor made?
The only thing I hav up my sleeve is to do a reset on the unit. If it has a button (I don't think it does frm what I remember) use it first, then with the unit ON, unplug the poer plug, wait a few, then plug back in and see.

Sorry I have no more tricks foir that,

Recorded dvd's won't play in another dvr

The problem is not the dvds themselfs it is the other play that you are trying to play them in (some players do not play DVD- and DVD+ or any other of self recorded disks) Look on the players box to see all what types of disks it can play!

DVD won't play

Netflix doesn't know what they're talking about. I looked it up - your DVD player doesn't have an autoplay feature. Can you try the DVD on another DVD player. Computers DVD drives generally read them differently - and decode them differently, than a regular DVD player. Also, if your DVD drive is a writable drive, it will have a stronger laser than your DVD player. I think it's likely the disk is damaged, slightly. If you cleaned your DVD's laser, it might be able to read it well enough to play - or it might not. I started having problems like this with a few of my own DVDs before my DVD player's laser went out. Basically it's a combination of laser quality and disc quality. If it remains just this one disk, I'd suggest leaving it alone. But if you start running into this problem on other disks as well, you'll probably want to have the laser replaced in your DVD player.
