Defrost problem, advance into defrost to see if heater comes. If it does replaced timer, if it doesnt you will need to check heater and defrost thermostat.

your best bet would be to call for service. You will have to tear down freezer to fix and diagnose problem.

the frost is blocking all air flow to lower section. It needs to be thawed out and you need to find out what part of the defrost system is bad.

How do you stop ice building inside, at the back of fridge model Beko LA87 Larder fridge

It can be 2 things. One is that the thermostat is broken but then it will also freeze your food. The other reason is that it has lost part of its gas charge due to a leak on the system causing the unit not to reach temperature thus not switching of on the thermostat and building ice inside. Normally it is not economically viable to fix the unit.

Doewoo no frost fridge freezer is working fine except that we keep getting puddles of water under the freezer door. any ideas. had about 4 years now

probably a blocked drain outlet or pipe. At the bottom rear of the unit, mine had a drain pipe blocked with a plug of mould (5/6 years old machine), apparently quite common. I detached the pipe and cleaned it out and replaced it.
From inside the freezer, I removed the lower back panel and thawed the ice build up on the drainage tray below the defrost heating element, leading to the pipe outside. The puddles of water that was appearing every defrost cycle have now stopped - permanently I hope. Hope this helps you

I keep getting water at the bottom of the fridge, under salad boxes on my Hotpoint fridge

Red light on for High Freezer Temperature Warning
or freezer not cooling, but fridge is and a lot of noise from compressor.
Also, fridge drain hole blocked, water in bottom of fridge.

This is a common fault in Hotpoint Fridge Freezers and can also happen if the door has been left open or has been a power cut.

1. Turn off fridge freezer, or at least turn down the freezer temp to minimum, though not ideal.
2. Open freezer door and remove all drawers.
3. Remove the back panel on the inside of the freezer. This is held in place with 4 screws, which might be 6mm hex head or star allen head. Pull the panel out.
4. Behind where the panel was, there is a cooling element for cooling, pipes, and below this a temperature sensor. If the fridge freezer is not switched off, then fold together a few layers of tinfoil and wrap around the sensor.
5. Use a hairdryer to slowly melt the ice. Melt it around areas where it appears to be hanging on, such as the corners of the cooling element or bolts, as well as any thin sections below the main block of ice around the cooling element, which will be supporting the main block. Use a plastic ice scraper to remove ice but not near pipes or sensor.
Warning: Be careful using electrics around water & melting ice & drips.
6. Below the cooling element, there is a drip channel & drain hole. If this hole is full of ice, pour a small amound of warm water down, leave for 10 seconds and pour a bit more until clear.
In the fridge, clear the drain hole in the same way.
Warning: Do not pour a lot of water down, as this water drains onto a tray above the hot compressor at the rear of the fridge freezer to be evaporated by the heat of the compressor and the tray will only hold a small amount.
7. When all ice is removed, dry all moisture. Put the shelves back. Close door. Turn on fridge freezer. Turn up the freezer temperature to your normal setting. Turn on fast freeze if available. After 1 hour, check with a thermometer. It should be cold enough after 1 or 2 hours.

Fridge temperature has suddenly dropped to 15

Check the door gaskets, condenser fan, refrigerator fan and the freezer fan. That should narrow down the problem.

Whirpool Fridge

Hello Maxleilao,
Welcome,

You said, Both Freezer and Fridge compartments stopped keeping optimum temperature. Freezer compartment is working as a fridge, and fridge also not keeping the temperature as it should. Both temperature controls are on maximum (I actually tried many different combination's with no luck).

What is the model #.
How old is it?

If the fridge is only a couple of years old , try turning it off and then! unpluging it for 5 minute and then
restarting it.
What happened?
if nothing good then most likely it is this next task!

It should be on a sticker inside the door jam or close to it on the inside wall of the fridge.
If it is real small like a counter high fridge, the number may be on the rear.
If the fridge is full size fridge check in the rear to locate where the condenser is. (lt looks like a thin row of black tubes that the freon travels through).
If not and they are under the fridge behind a removable plastic grille in the front of the fridge.
If this is the case then remove the plastic grille to see if the rows of thin (black tubes) called a condenser is covered with one to two inches of dust and not visable yet due to the blanket of dust!
This makes the condenser (black tubes) hot and unable to cool.
Air is sucked in from the front and passes over these tubes and cools the freon.

That is making it hot and the fridge and freezer warm.
You will need a flash light,
The plastic grille comes off when you press down on the top and up on the bottom together. Like squeezing the grille with your fingers until it comes off in your hands.
Get a flashlight, and get down on the floor and look under the fridge at the condenser. If all you see is an inch or two deep of lint and dust, then you need to buy a refrigerator brush at the hardware store and clean the thick coating of dust off.The brush is one inch wide and round with a very long handle 36 inches. Do this very slowly and gently. Remember the freon is in these tubes so you don't want to bend them and get a leak.
I know this was a long explanation but if this is the case I just saved you a service call.
It will take some hours to get cool again if this did not cause any damage to the compressor!
Some times all night till it reaches the max. temperature.

If there is no condenser below, or this does not do the trick, you may need to replace the thermostat!
or have a low freon level.

The red warning light will not go out?

1. Has the fridge freezer just been
installed? If so, this is normal and the
light will go out when the correct
temperature has been reached.

2. Has the fridge freezer been loaded
with a large quantity of food? If so,
the light will go out when the correct
temperature has been reached.

3. Have the doors been closed
properly?
