The WPA encryption key is configured in the wireless router's settings.
Since the Belkin is second hand and most likely the default password has been changes and you won't be able to get the encryption key unless you reset the Belkin back to the factory defaults. To do this :-
Power up the Belkin, press and hold the RESET buttom for exactly 7 secs.
Then to configure the wireless router - follow these steps :-
1. Connect a LAN cable from your computer to the Belkin wireless router.
2. Open IE browser and enter the Belkin's URL configuration IP address.
http://192.168.2.1 the password is blank - just press Enter.
3. Change the admin password
4. Go to the wireless settings and change the default SSID and turn off SSID broadcast.
5. Setup encryption key the strongest is WPA2 (if not then WPA).
6. For further security measures - turn on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless cards on the computer/s you want to connect to this wireless router.
7. Record the settings you have made and keep it in a safe place and Save the settings.
8. Configure the wireless cards on the computer/s and PS3 with the SSID and encryption settings of the router.
9. Remove the LAN cable between the router and the computer then the computers should be able to connect to the router.

Got belkin g router and dont have thye net key as

There should be a reset button on the back. This will take it back to factory settings without net key. Go to belkin web site and look for support search to see how to reset your model.

I do not know my WPA network key>>>>how do I find out what it is?

You need to login into your router and check the wireless security settings. You probably have a WEP key setup.
you'll need it's ip address. refer to your manual. if you dont have that, go to the manufacuters website and read it there.

Can not connect ps3

You need to do portforwarding. You can visit this site www.portforward.com and that will show you what to do. You can also try to call Belkin support and they will help you open ports for PS3

It wont connet to my belkin wireless router

Hi...to find the password, or network key:

1) Login to your router.

To do this, open a web browser on a computer, as if about to view a web page: then type the router address, http://192.168.2.1 in the address bar.

2) You should see a prompt asking for a password. Just click 'submit' button if none has been set: otherwise, enter the correct router login password.

3) You should see the router user interface. In the left hand menu, under Wireless, click Security.

The 'Pre-Shared Key' or PSK you see there is the network key (password) you need.

Please come back to Fixya if this doesn't work or if you need help with any of it. Good luck

A 2nd pc connected to my belkin 54g wirless rouer now mine cannot

Of course you've clicked "refresh" wireless network list? Go to the working computer and in a DOS box type IPCONFIG /ALL to find the gateway address for the router. ( Or refer to your wireless connection utility ). I will probably be 192.168.0.1 for example. In your browser address line put HTTP://192.168.0.1 and click the arrow. You should be talking to the router now, default id and/or password is typically ADMIN. Go to wireless settings and make sure SSID broadcast is turned on. Also note the SSID name, encryption type ( WEP, WPA, etc ) and note the key, if any. You now have enough information to connect the second computer. Yeah, this is complicated. If it's more than you want to know best get a friend to help you, though I may be able to answer specific questions once you get into it.
