Cannot change channel to a 2 digit channel eg.

When using the remote for a Samsung LCD tv I cannot change channel to a 2 digit channel eg. cannot change to channel 33. Can only get channel 3. The tv only recognises one press of the button.

Same issue as lisawrob
Check to see if there is another remote with something sitting on top of it. I had the same problem and found another remote transmitting (continously).

SOURCE: My samsung tv is not responding to my remote control

your turning section is not responding to any input, hence needs to be checked by a technician. every thing you have mentioned are controlled by one ic, with its respective voltages.

SOURCE: remote control

I had the same problem.  The problem is strange and seems to be with the receiver in the TV and not the remote control.  The reason I say this is that when this first happened my Samsung brand DVD could actually control the TV.  This then also failed, but still works fine with the DVD player.
Anyway there is an even more bizarre fix to all this......
- Remove the batteries from your TV remote. - Press and hold the red (ON/OFF) button for at least 1 min. - Replace the batteries and hey presto!!
I know seems far fetched but I found it on the Samsung website and it does work.

SOURCE: Configuring Sky remote

1. Press tv on your Sky remote control.

2. Press and hold down select and the red button together until the red light at the top of your Sky remote control flashes twice.

3. Press tv again

Then enter the remote control code using the number keypad. The red light will flash twice if a valid code has been entered.

Samsung Code: 0060

4. Point your Sky remote control at your TV and press the Power button. If this turns the off as you'd expect, then the tv should be set, press Select and the remote should work

5. If the TV does not turn off press tv, then press the Power button again, repeat this process until the TV turns off, when the TV turns off press Select.

My samsung le32r74bdx remote control wont change channels and cant turn volume on tv up or down

You can verify that the remote is working. Get a digital camera with a LCD display.
Aim the remote at the camera lens and press the volume and channel buttons. If you do not see
a flash through the camera the remote is bad or the batteries are dead.
If you know someone with any samsung hdtv remote, you can borrow it and try the volume/channel
to see if the tv remote receiver is good.

I have a Samsung LN55B650, and cannot use the remote to change channels, hav eto use cable remote. I change to TV mode, and program in channels, but that option is not available once I switch to HDMI2,...

OK the cable box remote is the only one that can change channels in this case. because you are using the tuner in the cable box not the TV.
all you need the TV remote for is to turn the TV on and off and turn the sound up and down. if you used the cable input on the TV then the tv remote would be used to change the channels.

Channel buttons change input

Auto channel search is your friend. Once the tv has been through it and finds active channels, your channel button should work the way you envision.

Hello Gregor_69

Lets see if we can get you sorted out. Please follow my steps and you will be back up and running in no time.

with you samsung remote make sure you press the TV button so that we are on a TV channel and not one of the other inputs.
Then press MENU
down to CHANNEL
go to AUTO STORE
you should find two option on there 1. air 2. cable
You want to highlight the air and START.
it will now give you 3 option
Digital & Analgue
Digital
Analogue
highlight the Digital option and START.
This will auto tune just your Digital channels. Once this progress bar has finished. You should find that all your Digital channel have returned to normal.

I hope that this has helped you out. If so then please leave a thumbs up

Retuning digital TV

You need to use the (what looks like a large sattellite) button to retune your tv.
Some Samsung tv's let you access the button but other models have a "D MENU" button on the remote. Press this button, then scroll down to the icon that looks like a large sattellite. Then scroll across and click on "Auto Store" this will then go through all the available channels

Samsung LE26R Digital Frozen

Solution that worked for me:

Beware: Although the process should be safe, it technically voids your warranty.

Enter the service menu:
1 - turn of tv with remote
2 - press and release in the following order on the remote: Info, Menu, Mute. Make sure remote is pointing at the tv
3 - turn on the tv from the remote
4 - you will see the service menu. using the down arrow on the remote select the Reset option. Using the right arrow button at this point will do a hard reset.
5 - Wait a few seconds, turn TV on
6 - you will have to rescan analogue and digital channel but it should be working now.
