Sir, I hav canon ip1880 pixma. I have already refilled the black cartridge and is working fine. my question is that can I refill the colour cartridge with black ink in all its three compartments instead...

I would not advise doing that. Once you do this you could have unexpected poor print quality.
If you only want to print black documents then I suggest you purchase a laser printer, these printers are not expensive now and the cost to per page is cheaper than inkjet printers and they do not suffer from block inkjet nozzles.

I use canon ip1880,i use to refill those ink by myself,sometimes the resume button blink and message comes up said my color catridge couldn't recognize,i cleen those pins and it's work..now long after...

The best is to buy new cart untill it gives problems again!refilling is not good for the head of the printer and thats why its not picking the cart up!but buy new ones and refill them again till it doesn't work and so on!

Better not to refill. Better buy a new original Canon cartridge. The reason being that some of the newer printers have sensors which can detect refilled cartridges and will cause more problems later.

Hey got a problem with installing the cartridge back to its holer....

This problem occurs not just to you some cartridges you cannot refill because they have a chip in them. It might allow you to print a small print job at first but it detects that the chip has not been replaced in the cartridge. You probably need to try replacing your cartridge.

Refilling canon iP 1880 color cartridge

Insert a fine needle through the hole and when the ink sticks to the needle withdraw it and rub on a white cloth and identify the color and mark the holes accordingly.

These cartridges are refillable. Kits are available through different sources. I get my ink, filling syringes and instructions from "dprintersink" on ebay. Their instructions are easy to follow and their ink is of high quality and is very affordable.

You shake the ink thorogly the you will fix it back the allow to allign when switch on and the print
