Lux 5000 Vacuum will start and then shut off with hose installed. W/O hose it runs fine

    The hose is clear. I put it on the other end and it blows out just fine. That's not the problem

    Vacuum shuts off indicating needs new bag. Put new bag still shuts down runs fine with hose off. Hose is clear.

    need wiring schematic for lux 5000. I either blew an inline fuse or a diode. I need values or size.

Some times that happens when the full bag indactor is broken call and ask electrolux or the guy that left his number what he thinks :)

Try hitting the small red button on the power nozzle head. Its the reset button. If that doesnt help you can call my office, (570)326-1731 and ask for Liz. Good Luck!!

Lux5000 will run until hose is attached, then shuts down. Pushing the reset button did nothing.
Experienced the same problem, just fixed it! Lift up the control dial on top of canister. You will see two small clear hoses inside. Detach the hose going to the "bag full" sensor light. It'll fix the problem!

Lux 5000 put in new bag but when i turn on the
It sounds like the valve assembly (full bag control) is faulty. Threr are two O rings inside of it and the plactic holding the bottom one has broken. You'll have to take it to the shop.

Electrolux 5000
Clear solution here - the hose is blocked.
Using a blunt stick with blunt ends, remove the entire hose assembly and compact up with the stick. Wriggle the stick a couple of times and this should dislodge whatever has got stuck up the hose.

Check & replace any filters that are fitted to machine.
Replace bag with new,
Clear hose of any foriegn items & check floor tool for blockages.
