Rival Chocolate Fountain CFF5 - never used and motor does not work

Help! I received a Rival Chocolate Fountain, but didn't get to using it until a year later and the motor doesn't even work. I've read that other users have experienced the same problem and that the gears have to be just which I've tried and still does not work. I was wondering if there are any other suggestions since I can no longer return or send for warranty repair.

Thanks!

Regarding the Rival Chocolate Fountain - I purchased one and the top cap was not included. I attempted to get a replacement part from the manufacturer but was not available. If someone has an old one I would love to purchase the cap from it.

What is the voltage required to run rival hand mixer?

This plugs into a standard 120v household outlet, it's only 150 watts, running 10 of these is like one hair dryer. Most products say 110v, 115v in the USA.

The actual voltage is around 120v at the breaker panel and around 118v at the outlet.

But all products marked 110v, 115, 117, all work on a standard outlet.

I have a KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer, model KP26M1XBS, which no longer works. I was mixing pretzel dough and the mixer stopped turning. I initially just thought it overheated...

Don't worry about the Worm Gear for now. You have to make sure that the Motor
is fully functional by itself: Remove the Transmission Housing Cover (4 screws) and
the two screws holding the Motor down. Lift the Motor off the Worm Gear and set it
on the side (be careful of AC voltages from the Motor and Control Assembly).
Select Stir setting and observe the motor shaft. Is the Motor running? If it is,
Select other speeds to see how the motor performs.
With the motor now fully functional, you can now check the Worm Gear Follower
for worn out/broken teeth. Remember the motor drives the Worm Gear, it then in
turn drives the Worm Gear Follower (you may have to remove the grease to see it)
The Bevel Gear sits right on top of the Follower and drives the Attachment Gear.

N-50 rebuild help

Remove the shiny drip ring on the planetary, use a small screwdriver and gently pry it off. Remove the "Tapered pin" that holds the planetary on the shaft, gently use a punch and a hammer to do this. This pin can only be tapped out in one direction. Pull downward on the planetary assembly until it comes free. Examine the small gear and bearing for excessive wear, examine the ring gear that remains in the mixer body for wear. Clean and re-grease these gears if they look OK. These gears are in operation in any gear and as such, receive the most wear. When re-assembling the planetary re-install the tapered pin the way it came out. The previous solution will address the transmission gearing. Replace parts as necessary. Good luck. Please rate this solution if it helps you. ricardok45
