Kenwood mixer running too fast
It's a problem with tachogenerator. You can buy this part pretty cheap and replacing is not that hard. (It's the gears under the blender/juice maker attachment) Basically while spinning it measures the speed and sends it back to motherboard to calculate how to adjust speed so it matches the setting. Replacing should help if it's broken. Although might be worth a try too just clean it. If some dirt or liquid got inside I might disturb the mechanism and cause problems. In my case just cleaning fixed the situation drastically.
Just purchased a Rival stand
I have a solution to the dough hook problem for the Rival FPRVSM0001. I purchased some from the Rival website and my husband make a modification and they work great!! Made bread last night... SO happy! :) You can reach me at
[email protected] if you'd like to get a set from me.
I need a replacement bowl. LOVE the mixer!
Contact the manufacturer and tell them what you need. Normally the will send a complete unit instead of just the bowl because they can afford it anyway rather than split up a unit. This has always been the case for myself when needing a replacement part of that size.
Makes Noise in all speed settings
From what you describe, it sound like the mixer has seen better days. It may be possible to take it apart and service it, but I think you are better off replaceing it with a new one.
