HP Pavilion dv9700 laptop, Wireless stops working at random.

I have a HP Pavilion dv9700 widescreen laptop, and the wireless stops working for no reason at random. When I boot it up some times the wireless works and some times it does not. How do I fix it? It's not a virus, It's not the wireless card, And it's not the network. Also when it's not working it says "identifying" where the name of the network is and "limited connectivity" where the network status is at.

I though it might be the wifi card so I replaced it and the new one did the same thing. And there are 3 other computer on the network so it's not the network. A friend said it could be a virus but my antivirus does not detack anything. I have hade problems since I but it, but that is becouse of the operating system.

Also it disconnacts my Xbox 360 from the internet when the computers internet gos out. What could cause that?

HP's normally use the Atheros wifi card which recently has had many problems such as what you describe here. Try a different wifi card to see if this solves the problem. If you don't have a wifi card take it to a local repair shop to see if they have one they can try for you.

1>> Shut down the computer and then while restarting the computer keep tapping on F10
As you get to the BIOS screen press F9 and then Press F10 to save and exit out of BIOS.
2>>Uninstall the driver from the Device Manager (in control panel) and restart the computer, To install the driver again use the Recovery Manager

Windows 7 is not best suited yet for wireless connectivity, but broadcom wireless cards/dongles are about the only ones that work favourably with this Microsoft offering. Anything to do with non working hardware IS A DRIVER ISSUE AND IF IT IS NOT IN THE UPDATE SITE YOU WILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD DRIVERS FROM THE VENDOR OF YOUR PARTICULAR HARDWARE. MOST HARDWARE THAT WORKS IN VISTA WILL WORK IN WINDOWS 7.

It is because your wi fi network adapter not getting ip addresses from router.
For that connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then access it with following link.
http://192.168.1.1
or
http://192.168.0.1

type user name as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password"

then go to advaced and enable DHCP .
Then save and restart router.

Then go to your laptop go to my etwork places proeprty then right click on your wi fi adapter then proeprty then tcp ip and set ip get automatic.
Then it works fine.
