Imagemixer3 I can record videos to the camcorder hard drive, but the Imagemixer3 give me problems when I go to transfer the video to the PC. The program recognizes the camcorder attached, but freezes when I try to download the video into the PC. Thereafter, the application will not recognize the camcorder connection. I have to reboot the PC to start the process all over again. Any ideas? Pete Margaritis [email protected]

same issue here. i am trying to figure out if it has to do with the amount of videos on the camera... i am experiencing issues with 39 scenes but when i had less I was able to download. i can't figure out how to get the scenes off, very frustrating!

The error says it does not recognize the format, then it can't recognize the camera connection

    Hi,

I have the same problem of being able to import my videos into my computer but not being able to save them to the hard drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone had a solution yet????? Imagemixer3 won't import my videos properly?? VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!

Yes, I have the same issue when trying to import video files from my Panasonic SDR-H200 using ImageMixer 3.I get an error message which reads, "IMxBrowser.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close blah, blah, blah" The error signature shows, App Name: imbrowser.exe, App Ver: 1.0.0.20, Mod Name: imbrowser.exe, Mod Ver: 1.0.0.20, Offset: 0002f885.
Apparently there could also be a conflict with other writing software installed on my PC, what could this be?

I have the Canon FS 10 camcorder, and am attempting to upload videos I've recorded for the first time. The camera came with the ImageMixer 3 SE (for SD) software, and also the Canon Digital Video "solution disk". My manual (to the Canon camcorder) said to use the Image Mixer software to upload the videos I've taken to my PC. I pulled up the manual to the software (the pdf file) and it showed to click the option "Save Files to PC". However, that button is "grayed out" and cannot be accessed. My only available options are "Browsing & Authoring" and "Exit". So, I chose "Browsing & Authoring", tried every combination, and STILL cannot figure out HOW to get my videos OFF my camera onto my computer.

I called the company where I bought the camera, they didn't know (why the software is not functioning properly). I can't find that support at Pixela's website. The only one I did find was only for ImageMixer 3 for MAC-- and I have a PC.

Any help here?? Why "Save Files to PC" would be grayed out and unusable? Thanks in advance. Becky in Oklahoma

I had the same problem with a Vixia HF10 camcorder. My problem was that I was not opening the viewing screen when transferring files. I had it closed and it would not work. The camera must be plugged into the AC adapter, it must be on the movie viewing option, it must be turned on and the view screen must be opened BEFORE plugging in the USB cable. Once I did this I was allowed to import the movies.

Now, however, every time I try and play a movie, Imagemixer 3SE freezes up. Any advice?

Hi, Why "Save Files to PC" would be grayed out and unusable? I had this problem and after hours of searching a fix found I needed to connect the camcorder usb cable to the back of my computer, not the front ports.Hope this helps.

Transfer from pz card shot on HD to mini DV tape

you can transfer to DV tape only by using software like Edius 6 or a similar one.
First you download the p2 card on the hard drive and then you use this program to convert the video file to DV and use the camcorder as recorder connecting to pc via firewire .

Transfer Videos to My Computer

Hi, I would think you could plug it in with the supplied cable to your computer. Once connected, turn on your camcorder, then navigate to the My computer Icon on your desktop, open, then find removeable media, should come up like any other harddrive, open that, then find your video files, copy and paste.

Completly confused

You need a video recorder program. The SC-D23 is a MiniDV tape camcorder, not a hard drive based camcorder. So you can't just drag-and-drop, it doesn't show up as a drive.

And you must use the Firewire cable. The USB connection is only good for transferring from the memory card.

Windows Movie Maker is free and can transfer from a Firewire drive like this one. If you don't have it already, download WMM from Microsoft's website. The Help files should tell you all you need to know, if you need to know more about using WMM you can come back here and post in the appropriate area.

Whatever video recording program you use, it will run the camcorder as if it were a VCR that you were recording from.

BTW, it is very important that the camcorder be turned OFF when you plug in the Firewire cables. Turn it on only AFTER it is connected to the computer. Otherwise you may destroy the Firewire port on the camcorder.

Sony Handycam DCR-SR80 HD Camcorder File recovery

You may try some recovery software to rescue the files on your recorder, here are some for your option.

Photo Video Music Recovery (for Windows)
Photo Video Music Recovery for Mac

Both programs can also recover video and music.

Note: Before your files are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the camcorder in case the original files(your recordings) are overwritten.

hi there
your camcorder records in AVCHD format which is a bit specialised at the moment, so your going to need special software to edit it.
you can get sony vegas movie studio 8 from amazon for about £30 ish and that will do the job nicely.

be warned .............. you will need a large hard drive (100 gig ish) as it takes a large amount of room to work, also a 3 gig cpu and a mid to high end video card.

hope this helps

Audio Quality

It's possible that the hard disks are in a non-DMA mode. Microsoft admits that there is a problem and a quick fix is to set the drives to PIO, OK it then go back in and set them to DMA. Best of luck,
