Hello Kyle, many times the condenser coil at the bottom of the refrigerator is blocked and needs cleaning. I use a vacuum and clean the best I can. Also make sure the fan motor that blows across the condenser coil is working okay. Hope that helps!

Why is my smeg fridge not keeping anything cool

Hi...the same thing has happened to me. My Smeg Fab28 refrigerator compartment has stopped cooling. The freezer still works. There was a build up of ice on the back fridge wall, and the milk was freezing up, so I turned down the temp. After the ice melted, I heard a bang like a bunch of ice had dropped. I turned the temp back up but it steadily stopped cooling even more. I decided to defrost the freezer, and had the power off completely for about 5 hours. When I turned it back on, the freezer worked, but the fridge is not cooling AT ALL.

Did you fix the problem and if so, how?

Thank you
Bev

Hi, I have an LG refrigerator, the top freezer works fine but the fridge section has stopped cooling, I turned the unit off and next morning there was a large puddle of water on the floor, when I turned it...

When the fridge is not cooling that means the fan are not working or not working properly, need to replace or check if their is an ice bothering the fan to turn. ok

Westinghouse virtuoso fridge/freezer has stopped cooling. How do we check the fuses etc? seals on the doors are all fine.

I have the same fridge (stainless steel virtuoso) and when the fridge section stops cooling you have to turn power off. Then remove everything from the freezer including the shelf. Next get a pointy object and remove the two plastic screw covers located on the back inside plastic freezer panel, Next remove the two phillips head screws securing the panel in place. Next (and this is a little tricky) get two solid forks and lever the back interior panel off, thereby exposing the cooling system of the fridge. Next get a hairdryer and completely defrost this item, and then reassemble. Switch power back on and your fridge will be fixed, and cooling like a champion! plus you have saved hundreds by not paying ripoff "technicians" I have to do this every six or seven weeks because of the high humidity here in Darwin, the freezer is "frost free" but the cooling system still ices up, and this is what blocks airflow and stops the fridge cooling.
