SOURCE: Butter frozen left in freezer 3 days is it ok if refrozen and then took it out to eat

If the butter has been frozen and defrosted, I would not re-freeze, just use it now.

How to REVIVE your dead laptop battery

  1. If your notebook computer is still under warranty, then by all means get the battery replaced!
  2. There’s no guarantee that this tip will work with your notebook battery; but so far this tip has never failed me
  3. If you have the money and there’s still available stock for your notebook battery, then just buy a replacement unit you cheapskate
  4. I won’t be held responsible for any damages or injuries resulting from following this tip. You have been warned!
OK, now that the above has been made clear, here’s the tip: freeze the battery! Yup, that’s the concept. However, here’s the proper way to do it in easy to read steps:
  1. Remove the battery from the notebook computer
  2. Wrap the battery with old newspaper, making sure that it envelops the battery tightly
  3. Repeat step 2 above with at least three pieces of large sheet newspaper (if you’re using tabloid sized newspaper, then use at least five pieces)
  4. Place the wrapped battery in the freezer compartment of your refrigerator
  5. Let it stay in that cryogenic state for three to seven days
Once your battery has been given the frozen treatment, do not directly plug it into your notebook! Let the battery thaw to normal room temperature within the newspaper wrapping by leaving it in the open for at least half a day (overnight is recommended).
Tear off the newspaper wrapping and touch the battery. Does it feel cool to the touch? If so, then leave it at room temperature for a few more hours. Once it feels just about room temperature, take a piece of tissue and wipe the contact points of the battery just in case there’s some traces of moisture there.
Once this is done, plug it in your notebook computer, plug in the power adapter and leave your notebook in “charging” state. Do not power on the notebook!
Give your battery time to fully charge (this depends on your notebook/battery model). Once you’re 100% confident that the battery is fully charged, say your prayers, cross your fingers and power on your notebook. If all goes well, your battery should be working just fine.

How long does a 16lb turkey need to defrost in the refrigerator?

According to the USDA, when thawing your turkey in the refrigerator, you'll need to allow 24 hours for every four to five pounds. Don't bother with the math-here's a table: 4 to 12 pounds: 1-3 days. 12 to 16 pounds: 3-4 days.14 Aug 2012

The label on my frozen turkey says it is good till March of 2016 does this mean even if its thawed it will still be good till that date?

Hi Ronnie:
- If it has been sitting unfrozen in your fridge for more than 2 days I'd personally not be eating it.
- Likewise, if you cook it, it should be eaten right away.
- Re-freezing uncooked is not considered safe food protocol.
- Freezing cooked in serving size portions and only thawing when you're going to heat and eat is usually safe.
Hope this helps.

I need to know it okay to eat a ham that been in the freeze for a year I got from a job I never open it up I just put in the freeze how long before it not any good to eat

If it has been frozen the entire time it should be safe to eat. Most anything that has been continually frozen should be safe to eat if cooked and eaten soon after thawing it out. Bacteria is what spoils anything and bacteria cannot multiply in a frozen environment. Depending on what it is,how long it was frozen and whether or not it was exposed to air while being frozen will determine whether or not there is an undesirable change to the taste, color or texture.
The best (safest) way to thaw anything out would be slowly in a properly working and set refrigerator.
Your ham should be OK,especially if it was frozen in its original plastic packaging without being opened or exposed to air before freezing. I have eaten previously frozen hams and turkeys (in their original packaging) that were in my freezer a lot longer than one year... and I never noticed any difference in taste.
