The Ready light flashing usually just shows tape motion and is nothing to worry about.
If there is no tape in the drive and you are still having problems then click the link below as i think your drive will need a full repair.

This is usually because it is in use still. If you cannot see anything still trying to access the drive (backup software for eaxmple) you could try powering down the tape unit and rebooting the machine that it is plugged into the turn the tape unit back on and see if it will now eject.

Check that 'Prevent Media Removal' is disabled
Check the Support Ticket Device Analysis for indications of a stuck tape
Run the L&TT*** "LTO Stuck Tape Test"
Try a normal eject operation--Make sure that you allow up to 10 minutes for completion
Perform an Emergency Unload
Reset the drive to reset the drive firmware
Use Library and Tape Tools (L&TT) to Upgrade your Firmware

the take up arms are not working it must go into a shop for pro fix this is a complex fault .

make sure the repairer is well trained with this type of machine as most are not

Try to reseat the controller from the PCI slot.
Reseat the SAS cable.

Stop your backup services and Ran some test

First try to double check your SCSI controller drivers and your drive firmware (With LTT)

update your SCSI controller drivers and power cycle the server

stop all the backup services services and perform a test

Get into services and Stop and disable RSM agent (Removable Storage Manager)

press and hold the eject button for 30 seconds
