it has a steering wheel not steer arms... your issue is either something is bent/broken, the steering shaft is stripped or the steering wheel is just off
1) there are also bushings which hold the axle assembly into the front cross member, take a look at those. 2) while you are at it, replace the front wheel bearings on both sides
Just had same problem with my craftsmen. There is a very inadequate little nylon bushing supposed to keep that shaft stable. When worn out it allows that shaft to move and puts the gears in a bind. It is located on the end closest to arced gear where shaft hooks to drag link. Its a pain.
either the steering arm in the bell housing on the right side of the tractor is striped or the colume is broken internaly. the is asuming that all tie rod ends and the bell crank are still atatched.
