I recently developed 12 rolls of film for developing. All but 20 +- photos had a single horizontal streak across them. I am guessing a light leak. I have very little photo experience so I could be completely off here.
Until then, the camera took amazing photos. A third roll of film was diveloped at another location to be sure it was not related to developer error. Again, streaks. My daughter will be starting a photo class at school soon and will need to have this, or similar... Is this a coomon result of something specific? I just dont know if it is worth fixing. please, your feedback is much needed. Thank you in advance
I take it the streak is a hot streak of light. If you're shooting negative, look at the negative and see if it's one long streak. If so the light leak could be anywhere between the film roll and the take up roll. I would open up the back, go into a closet and shine a bright light on the front of the camera and see if you can find the leak and tape it up. Otherwise, 35mm SLR's are very cheap these days. I'd recommend a Canon A-1 for your daughter, but you can't go wrong with any Canon or Nikon.
