My old Jenn-Air W230 wall oven only gets to "warm" in the bake position - even at a temperature setting at 500 degrees. However the broil function works well. Could the problem be a bad thermostat o

the oven sensor could be bad,its a small rod inside the oven cavity near the top,or you could have a bake element with a "hot-spot" in it that can no longer pass enough current to properly heat the oven to the correct temperature setting(most elements with a hot spot will show a discolored area on the element where its been overly hot)this is the "hot-spot" it will soon break apart there

Older jenn air wall unit oven / turn knob

Yes, I just had same problem. The probe receptical is on the right inside wall of the oven. A little flapper door is secured by a single phillips screw. Remove this screw and the flapper door. Gently remove the receptical and its attached cable adapter. With your screw driver short the connector extension to the housing, just as the probe would. This should reset the meal temperature sensor. Try the bake and problem should be gone. If not permanently short this connection with a wire. You won't be able to use your probe, but the oven will work.

Jenn-Air stove locked

After the lock indicator light goes out, move the door lock lever to the left. The oven door can now be opened. Turn the selector and temperature knobs from clean to off AFTER THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED. If the temperature knob is turned to off BEFORE the door is unlocked, the door will not open. Forcing the lock will damage the lock mechanism. If this should happen, return the temperature knob back to CLEAN, unlock the door, THEN turn the temperature knob off. Jenn-Air w156 Single Wall Oven Problem

Most likely its the EOC (electronic oven control), it needs to be replaced. If you self cleaned the oven a lot the very high heat generated fatigues computers in modern ovens.

Oven bakes unevenly and burns food

When foods are burned, soggy, or baked unevenly, it generally means heat isn't being distributed evenly throughout the oven, its escaping out the door or the controls are out of adjustment. 1) Remove any aluminum foil from racks or the bottom of the oven. 2) Check the door gasket and, if necessary, have it replaced. 3) Be sure nothing is obstructing the vent. 4) Reposition the oven racks so baking pans aren't too close to the heat sources. 5) Check your baking pans. If they're dark, they may be burning your food. Reduce temperature by 25 degrees F when baking in dark metal or glass pans. 6) Recalibrate the controls.
