My Thermador oven display is becomming dim. The factory referred me to a service place that would charge a few hundred dollars to install the factory recommended fix. Do you have any advice? I tried turning off the power to the oven for a few hours, hoping something would reset, but it is still very dim.
Replace the capacitors on the display unit. Just did this and it now works

Have the same problem; display dimming and eventually touch panel started failing. Must be a heat sensitive component failure and should be isolated with freeze spray. Doesn't seem like it would be the display unit but may be the control unit. Anyone tried to isolate the failed component?
We've replaced our display twice and it's now gone out again. Does thermador have some solution or recall ??
