Thermador oven sc272t f-c code I have a F-C code

Hello, welcome to FixYa.
Based on your post I understand you have an error "FC" on your Thermador SC272 wall oven, correct ?

There are two common scenarios with these Thermador wall ovens fitting what you've described. Either the lower oven control board has failed or there is a communication error between the control board and the display.

Here is an exert from my Thermador service documents explaining in their terms...(hopefully it won't get partially cut-off when I click "submit" as it sometimes does with attachments, that's out of my control unfortunately).

In either scenario I'd suggest calling in an authorized B/S/H/ (Thermador/Bosch/Gaggenau) service technician since it is pretty involved to trace and possibly replace (hopefully not) any failed/faulty component on these units.

Hope this helps move you forward. Let me know if I can assist you further and good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Thermador PRG364EDH/08 Oven will not ignite.

The oven safety valve (also called the gas valve) is the part that ensures that gas is not released until the igniter has reached the correct temperature needed to ignite the gas. While this part can fail, it is uncommon. If the hot surface igniter does not glow you should first verify that you have voltage to the circuit. This is a live voltage check and should be performed by a qualified person. If voltage is lost at the valve terminals then you should verify the continuity of the bi-metal in the valve using a multi-meter. The oven burner igniter commonly known as the hot surface igniter is used in modern gas oven burners to open the gas valve and to ignite the gas. As the igniter draws electric current it will heat to a high temperature and glow, as well as cause the bi-metal in the oven safety valve to warp and open the valve releasing the gas to be ignited. This sequence normally takes about a minute. Igniters come in both flat and round styles and are very fragile. If the burner does not light then you should check the igniter first. If the igniter does not glow at all, then check for power to the circuit. This is a live voltage check and should be performed by a qualified person. If power is present then the igniter may be open circuit and can be checked for continuity with a multi-meter. If the igniter is glowing, but the burner is not lighting, the igniter may be weak and still be at fault because it requires a certain amount of current draw to open the valve. This check requires the use of an amp meter and should be performed by a qualified person. If the igniter is defective then it must be replaced. http://www.partselect.com/Repair/Range-Stove-Oven/Will-Not-Start/ http://www.partselect.com/Repair/Range-Stove-Oven/Will-Not-Start

The display flashes F C then starts beeping. I turned off the breaker for 5 minutes and put back on but it started again.

Communication error detected by display board(main board), Lower oven relay board not powered up, check all power connections to the oven relay boards. Check all connections from the main board to the relay boards.

try corecentrics solutions in Glen Ellyn Illinois. They rebuild a lot of the NLA boards for a very reasonable cost.

What does f24 mean?

Clean the control panel of all residue. Make sure the door closes properly. If it continues, chances are you will need to replace the touch pad and relay board.

Why do I have error code F25 on my Thermador oven error codes

clean the touchpad control panel. Make sure the oven door closes properly to prevent excessive heating of the touchpad. If these don't resolve it, it calls for a replacement of BOTH the touchpad AND the relay board. EXPENSIVE!

Noise when oven running and stops when oven stops

Is it a convectional oven? If so, this is the fan turning on to circulate the heat. Being an electric oven, there really shouldn't be any noise whats so ever when on. I suspect your have a convectional oven and the fan is making the noise...either because it is working fine...or because its not and needs to be replaced.

F7 trouble code

One of the most common problems with GE electric built in ovens is the error code “F7′ shown on the display. I’ve seen it many times before and today I had a service call for the same problem again. The error code “F7” will be displayed along with a beeping sound if the ERC (Electronic Range Control) or “clock” senses one or more buttons on the control panel stuck. It could be displayed in any mode: “cook”, “clean” or even more often in the “time of the day” mode. In order to fix it, the control panel has to be replaced. This is a very simple job and you will need just a 1/4′ nut driver and a Phillips screwdriver.
To get the right replacement part just click on the link AppliancePartsPros then type the model number of your oven (it is located at the bottom left corner on the door frame of the lower oven) in the search box, click on the “search” button and in the new window type the word ”control panel” in the “search by keyword” box and click the “search” button.
Always turn off the circuit breaker first.
Open the oven door (if you have a double oven, it should be the upper one) and remove three screws (on some models just two on corners) from the bottom of the control panel. If the control panel on your oven is made of stainless steel, then you have to pull the oven out of the cabinet for about 2′ to 3′ to get better access. Pull the control panel forward and up to remove the tabs on the top of the frame, out of the holes in the end caps. Pull the control panel out and turn it about 90° toward yourself (the face of the control panel down). Unplug the control panel ribbon from the ERC. Remove four screws holding the ERC to the control panel. On some models you also have to remove the screw which attaches the ground wire to the control panel. Let the ERC hang on its wires, remove the old control panel and replace it with the new one. On some models before you do it, you have to remove the end caps and the bottom shield from the old control panel and install them on the new one. Do not forget to plug the new control panel ribbon into the ERS slot. Attach the new control panel to the oven and turn the circuit breaker on. Set the time of the day and you are back in business
