Would suggest you try and install jst the windows OS again on it

set the first boot devie as CD drive,

pop the windows CD in the drive

on the first screen when it asks if you would like to repair or install select install

then after loading the files in the memory and checking for existing windows versions

now select repair and this will reload windows files and all the user data is still intact

after the installation its gonna restart the sys and you are back at the regular screen of your sys either user selection or directly the desktop

cheers

E70006 netbook Hello, When I turn my netbook on it starts on the Windows CE welcome screen and says System Initializing, Please Wait..., well Ive been waiting, and nothing happens, also the battery does...

boot it into safe mode, and disable startup items, aswell as services within the msconfig window.

for most computers, you turn it on, and continue pressing F8 then the pc wil load, and if done correctly another screen will come up with multiple boot options, select either Repair, or simply go to Safe Mode, and once into safe mode, do the following...

Windows key + R > and this wil bring up a window called Run
then in that windows type: msconfig

within the msconfig window go to the services tab, and on the bottom check "Hide Microsoft services" and disable all startup services, next go to the following Startup tab.. and disable everything. now reboot your pc.

if you are able to boot now, then you have a problem with your os and you need to take it to an IT.

hope this helps

Computer problem unable to open up on win xp my antifirus

LOL, if you are saying your antivirus Comodo will not open up when you press the icon then maybe you should remove Comodo. I used it once and it drove me crazy asking me for approval on just about everything I clicked on. Try a smooth, simple and free Antivirus such as AVG, AVAST or Microsoft Security Essentials.

So, what is happening when you click the Comodo Icon? Does it bring up a window asking you to select a program to open it with (means a virus has changed your program file associations)?

Have you tried booting in Safe Mode to open it. Turn off the computer, then turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see Safe Mode. Select Safe Mode and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you. The screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal. See if you can open Comodo when the desktop appears.

Lap top wont work at all says hard drive problem detected and in safe mode. safe mode comes uo in all 4 corners of screen

Hello,

You mentioned it boot in safe mode, if it's showing the taskbar where the start button is, then do the system restore. Click start/all programs/accessories/system tools/system restore. Select the previous date that the laptop was working fine the laptop will restart by itself once done. If this process does not resolve the issue, do system recovery (reformat) using the recovery disc that came with the laptop.

goodluck.

My pc wont go past the microsoft corporation screen (loading screen)

Open the machine - remove everything but the mouse and key board and one stick of ram- check the connections to the hdd while you're in there.
Reboot the machine - once it hints at getting going after you turn it on - start tapping the delete button -until you get to the BIOS - find the SET TO DEFAULT - there is only one -- it will set you back to default and let you boot up. Once this happens - reboot the machine - if it STILL has trouble - reboot it again and tap F-8 until you get to safe mode - once in safe mode it should give you an error message - copy that down and come back. To get faster answers and better service ask for premium service and ask for me. Thanks e2b512b.jpg

Actually when i log on the computer then show the normal mode, safe mode etc.But when we press normal mode then donot open operating system. so whats the problem?

i think your os files may have been corrupted. first try to boot in safe mode. if it works then reboot and the next time if menu comes select normal mode.

normaly if safe mode boot succeed, then in next boot it will not ask for anything, the windows boots normaly.

Tried everthing just cant get this thing to boot up

Sounds like you may need your screen replaced.

Upon turning on your laptop,
Keep pressing F8, until you hear a beep. This will give you the option to boot to safe mode. When you hear a beep, and NOTHING comes on your screen within 20 seconds, you need to have your LCD screen replaced.

Typically if its a hardware problem such as RAM, you'll hear 2 beeps or a POST message will display on your screen, letting you know that a certain piece of hardware failed.

Ive seen problems occur when people change a setting such as :
Right click on your desktop --> Properties --> Settings --> Advanced Button

And changing your DPI. This can cause your screen to go out (Not display anything). If its up to high chances are your LCD screen can not handle it. If you boot to safe mode, then you can fix this. Again if you cant boot to safe mode, then you have a mad LCD.

Give this a try and let me know what happens.

Oh one more things.

One thing i have also seen, more than once, and till this day i can not explain it, but a USB device plugged in. Remove ANY USB device plugged to your computer. Printer, FLASH Drive, Mouse, etc. Then turn on your computer.

If you have a floppy drive, remove the floppy.
If you have a CD/DVD in your tray, turn the computer on to take it out.

Dell 6100 laptop blank screen

Boot into the one that says, "Safe Mode with Command Prompt"

Once it's done it will ask for an admin password (sometimes) if it does just press the enter key, unless you set the Administrator password to something else.

Once your past that.

Type:

chkdsk /r

a message will pop up (sometimes) saying something about the disk being locked, blah, blah, blah.

Just press the Y key, then enter.

Restart the computer.

Let it do it's thing ( disk check will appear)

Let me know if this solves your problem.

Computer failure - HP a1120n - Wont enter safe mode, wont restore

If you can from another computer download Ultimate boot cd or Hiren's boot cd.  There are tools on the cd that can help you recover data or diagnose any hard drive problems or system problems.
