SOURCE: DELTA SINGLE HANDLE GOURMET SPRAY faucet

Hello. Actually it is not difficult to remove the faucet. If you can pull up the sink with faucet attached it will be very easy. Otherwise get under the sink with a flashlight and you will see what tools are needed. A special extendable faucet wrench from Home Depot would come in very handy. Regards. Joe

My Moen Chateau (older style) kitchen faucet is leaking under the cap that covers a black plastic part where the on/off lever attaches. I purchased and installed a new cartridge, but that didn't

Did you know Moen faucets are warranted for life? You should go to Moen's website to identify the faucet you have and then contact them directly. They will ask you when you purchased and / installed the faucet but will not ask for a receipt or other proof of purchase. If the faucet was installed by a previous owner and registered by them - that warranty will be void unless you installed the same faucet after you bought the home (renovation, etc.).

All parts and tech support are FREE from Moen and if your faucet is being phased out, they will offer you a choice of faucets from their current line up (similar to the one you have) for very short money (I paid less than $50 for mine).

Good luck!

Are you using a softener in your home? Sometimes hard water deposits can clog up the cartridges and create the problems you such described. Im not sure about the lock/button issue though since I have never used this particular Delta faucet myself, but with one problem, it can usually cause many others.
Try replacing the cartridge on the Delta faucet first, Here is a link to the replacement one from the Delta site. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/RP50587.html

I have a Delta shower faucet model number 1324 and my shower head is leaking How do I get the faucet part apart I have a diagram, but actually looking at the insides it all looks like one piece I don't...

Hi Shannon:

The problem is most likely the seats and springs. You should purchase Delta Part # RP4993. I found some for mine at Lowe's for around $4.00. O-rings are available there too for about $2.00, and you probably should go ahead and replace them as well, especially if they feel dry and brittle.

You have to remove the handle, then unscrew the brass ring (or bonnet) with a pipe wrench, then just pull the cartridge straight out. Separate the lower cartridge from the upper by twisting a quarter turn to the left. Once separated, remove the black rubber seats and springs and install the new.
