How do you trun off the grundig traveler 3 - Grundig Audio Players & Recorders

With the radio turned on or off, press the ALARM button with quick, short presses, over and over, noticing that a speaker or a bell appears under the box labeled 'Timer' in the upper left corner of the display. Leave the speaker there if you want the speaker alarm to turn the radio on; leave the bell if you want to wake up to a beeper. Leave it blank, with no speaker or bell if you do not want the alarm.

Sometimes a beep when off is telling you that it is one standby or it is telling you the battery is becoming depleted.

Is there a mute speaker button that engages when you insert headphones? Check for that. If not, the amp may be defective.

IT is in the batter compartment...on a sticker...toward the bottom of the radio...it should start with G3............

Rubbing 70-90% alcohol applied on a piece of cloth then spread on the radio will eliminate the sticky substance. May need several application and vigorous rubbing. After the process, my Grundig G8 Traveller II looks better than the original rubbery texture. Cleaner too.

A warped disc will cause that as will a lump of debris on the turntable as it will make the laser travel to the end of its focus range and bang on its end stop.

Believe it or not, Radio Shack carries quite a few replacement antennas.. whether they have one for your specific radio or not I'm not sure, but they're worth a try. If you can bring your old antenna with you to make sure the mounting is the same, might save you a return trip.
